Vocational Training for Engineering & Diploma Students (Session 2013-14) at Technical Training Centre, Diesel Locomotive Works,

1. 2. The application forms shall be available at Technical Training Centre (TTC), DLW from 15th March 2013 based on the request letter from associated college. Duly filled and signed application forms shall be accepted by TTC latest upto 30th April 2013 along with: a. Three recent passport size photographs of the candidate. b. Request letter from concerned college duly indicating the required training duration & date. It should be addressed to Principal, Technical Training Centre (TTC), DLW, Varanasi. 3. 4. The application form must be verified by any Railway Officer of Indian Railways. The training is imparted mainly in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology & Civil branch. The available seats are as follows: SN 4.1 4.2 4.3 Branch Mechanical Engg. Electrical, Electronics, Communication Engg. Civil Engg., IT etc. Total No. of seats 900 400 200 1500

The maximum number of trainees at any point is 500 students. In case more students are enrolled for training in that period, generally first come, first serve principle is followed. However, the students from Government Engineering Colleges e.g. IIT, NIT etc shall be given preference. 5. 6. 7. The normal training period shall be 2 to 6 weeks, which may be extended upto 8 weeks on special request from institute and with approval of Principal, TTC, DLW, Varanasi. The training cost @ Rs.500/- per week is to be deposited in DLW Cash Office on first day of training which shall be non-refundable & shall not be adjusted under any circumstances. The wards of Railway employees covered under Pass Rules are not required to pay training fees. The application forms of such candidates should be verified by concerned Pass section and countersigned by a Railway Officer not below the JAG. A self attested copy of current pass declaration form of the Railway employee is required with the application form. Vocational trainees shall abide by all the statutory norms of Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management Systems. In case of any accident or resultant casualties whatsoever during the training period, DLW cannot be held responsible under any circumstances. No trainee shall be allowed inside the workshop without Safety Shoes, Helmets and PPEs. Photography in premises is strictly prohibited. The TTC/DLW administrations decision regarding enlisting the students for training will be final and binding. Any subsequent correspondence from students or Engg. College will not be entertained. The list of trainees finalized shall be displayed on TTC notice board. It shall also be posted on web site. Individual student will not be informed by this office about the selection for training. The trainees have to make their own arrangement for boarding and lodging. Applying for training does not give the guarantee for the same. No student can demand for training as a matter of claim. Training Schedule and duration is conditional and subjective. TTC/DLW Administration may prepone, postpone, curtail and/or cancel the training on administrative grounds. All rights on the subject are reserved by TTC/DLW Administration. Registration no., training duration and training area mentioned in the application form shall be specified by TTC/DLW office. It should not be filled by the candidate. No trainee shall be allowed inside the training area or TTC campus except the time allotted in the Admit form / gate pass.
