Hi Friends,

Last August we bought a two-year-old horse and named her Elle. She was a bit of an ugly duckling at the time, skinny and weak. But now she is blossoming into a beautiful strong horse, so we have decided it's time to syndicate her and we would like to invite you to share in the adventure. Jesse has broken her in and he was thrilled with how quickly she picked it all up and how relaxed she was. She has since had a month off and has now been brought back into light work. Jesse will pre-train her from his Taupaki (near Kumeu) base, before she heads to the stable of Graham Thomas and Paul Mirabelli in Cambridge to be trained. We have set up a Facebook page for her (click here), we will keep you updated with regular photos and updates here and also via email. We also plan to get everyone together for farm visits, track gallops, race meetings and hopefully a celebratory dinner or two along the way! Each percent will cost $5.80 per week and we are happy for you to take whatever percentage you would like. We have set up a bank account into which you can make fortnightly automatic payments. This amount will comfortably cover her training, % Cost per week agistment, vet and shoeing costs etc. We will not be taking a 1 $5.80 commission and all leftover funds will be rebated when she finishes 5 $29.00 racing. She is owned by us and we are leasing her to the syndicate 10 $58.00 to race for three years. However the racing manager (Tara) will 15 $87.00 retain the right to terminate the lease should she be retired before 20 $116.00 the lease is up. Elle is by the champion New Zealand sire of 2010-11, Thorn Park. you like He is the sire of three of New Zealand's best horses of recent times in Ocean Park, Jimmy Choux and Veyron. He has also produced two outstanding fillies in the Peter Moody-trained Australian Group One winning mare Norzita and NZ Group One winner The Party Stand. He stood at Windsor Park Stud for a fee of $22,000 before he tragically lost his life late last year, as a result of a long battle with Laminitis. Elle is the first foal of Now and Forever, a daughter of Howbaddouwantit. She was bred by the Fell family who own one of New Zealand's oldest and most famous studs, Fairdale. Now and Forever is a half-sister to the stakes winner Etoile Du Nord who is owned by Waikato Stud and David Williams QC. This is also the family of stakes winner and NZB Southern Filly of the Year If I Can I Can, stakes performer Epingle and recent winner Etoile Filante. Now and Forever was trained by Roger James but never made it to races. The Fells retained her as a broodmare and have shown great confidence in her, sending her to Thorn Park, followed by Pins ($37,500 service fee) and she is now in foal to Savabeel ($35,000 service fee). The service to Pins resulted in a colt who was sold to Australian bloodstock agent John Foote for $65,000 at this year's yearling sale at Karaka. What's more, Howbaddouwantit is forging a great reputation as a broodmare sire, producing nine winners from 18 runners. Although this is no surprise as his sire Rahy is renowned as an exceptional broodmare sire. Payments will begin on June 3, so let us know if you are interested and we will send out the lease papers for you to sign. We also have to come up with a name for her and all suggestions are welcome.
* you can have any percentage
