SECTION TWO Reading Comprehension In Tunapuna he had played with used tennis balls that rich people sold for six cents apiece after they had lost their bounce and elasticity. Only on Sunday matches had he seen a real cork ball and the touch of this one, its rough texture between his fingers, its very colour, gave him a feeling of power. He knew that he could bowl them all down for a duck with this ball. The boys first looked at one another questioningly then began moving to their positions as they watched the thin boy count off fifteen paces. He turned, his thin long body arched like a bow, the ball swung high in the air, his wrist turned in and he delivered the shooting red ball that turned pink as it raced to the batsman. The batsman swiped blindly and missed, his head swung back quickly. Aye, aye, aye. The wicket keeper cried out, as the ball smacked into his hands making them red- hot. The fielders moved in closer but each time they missed the small flick of his wrist that made him bowl them all down.
