Discussions CCG Major responsibilities include coming up with an agenda/activity to lead meetings/activities every week, gathering contact information from participants, promoting the group around campus, and tracking participants such that the CCG continues throughout the duration of institute. Leaders may lead meetings/activities according to the group interest or however they see fit. As the group leader it is important to encourage as much participation as possible because these community groups are to help CMs and staff get involved and feel supported at institute. CCG leaders will be supported by institute staff in terms of room reservations and promoting their group to corps members and staff prior to institute and on campus. Supply and Curriculum Sorting and Inventorying We are looking for individuals to help with the task of counting/ inventorying supplies, and creating supply kits for corps and staff members to use throughout institute as well as to help in the collection and inventorying of supplies and curriculum at the end of institute

June 14 16 July 26 - 28 All Day Illinois Institute of Technology June 1, 2013 Miranda Moyer Chi.inst.ops@gmail.com All types of volunteers are welcome. This is a great activity for people who are looking for a community service event for small groups of students, etc. (prefer high school or late middle school students). There may be some physical activity involved such as moving or stacking boxes of supplies or corps member kits. Music and fun will be provided.

Institute Registration Alumni and Friends of Teach For America have the opportunity to welcome the incoming corps members to our institute. Volunteers will be assigned to a variety of different stations for corps members including, helping CMs move in to their dorm rooms, greeting them with their nametag and lanyard, setting up printing and internet on their computers, passing out institute curriculum, etc.

Workshop Facilitators Workshops are a variety of sessions designed to meet CM needs and interests. These optional learning experiences allow CMs to really take ownership over their professional development by determining which sessions will most enhance their own effectiveness. We hope to have full coverage of various content and instructional strategies, as well as workshops focused on the larger context surrounding our work. To this end we ask you to consider
submitting a workshop proposal based on your own interest and skill. Workshops should be 30 minutes in length.
