Ambassadors Football is a non-profit Christian organization that seeks to provide a brighter future to communities through the sport of football (soccer.) AIS has a proven history of bringing hope through football for more than 20 years with offices in more than 20 countries around the world working in many communities with different programs. Through our football programs Ambassadors Football provides a safe environment for players, coaches and supporters to learn and teach life skills that help them have a brighter future and a saving knowledge of Christ. Ambassadors Football is in the process of establishing a new work in Mexico. Phils experience gained over the past 7 years working with AIS in various countries, mainly Spain and the heart for Mexico, the country where he was born and raised, suits him to lead this work. Paulas studies and work experience in health care, her servants heart and a huge love towards the less privileged also prepares her for this task. Our goal is to start ground operations in May 2013 when we leave Cleveland. We have come to Cleveland for over a year to better prepare for the work in Mexico. We are going through a leadership development program, biblical seminars, and taking part in practical ministry experience such as coaching, middle school ministry at our church, and soccer clinics at a low-income community center. Our vision is to reach communities through football promoting education, health, and socioeconomic integration with the help of local churches to transform lives with the Gospel and impact the Mexican society. We believe education is key to create change in individuals, which become change agents in their communities. By providing holistic football programs we can bring alternatives to gangs, drugs and violence, a prominent problem in Mexico. Partnering with churches will help us better reach these communities and provide the spiritual aspect to our holistic programs. As Christians we know that behind these issues lies brokenness that can only be restored through a personal relationships with Jesus Christ. As part of our preparation to establish the work in Mexico we are raising a team that will help us fulfill this vision. We are asking you to consider being part of the team spiritually, financially or both. We need individuals on our team that will commit to support and cover us in prayer on a regular basis, especially as we dive into the issues mentioned above. We need individuals on our team that will commit to support us financially as we continue to step out in faith as a married couple, where our monthly financial needs are $3,500 and currently only receive $1,425.
