Hello Everyone! Spring has sprung! Hopefully the cold weather is behind us. We are looking forward to using the golf course and pool during the warm weather to come. In the last newsletter I talked about some improvements that would be done to the pond areas. These projects were unable to be started due to inclement weather. Weather permitting these will be started soon. We currently have pool area renovations being done and we hope everyone enjoys the improvements to this area. The pool will be open and ready for rental Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th. Please contact Ms. Joyce for pricing and availability. Quotes are being received for repair work to be done on the parking lot and tennis court. In regards the tennis court, our intention is to have it restriped not only for tennis but for basketball also. Martica and I would like to send a very heartfelt thank you to Butch Waters. For all his help at the pool and his help at the new covered grill area. Thank you again Butch. Martica and I would like to also send a special thank you to my father, Vaden Hartley. His generous donation made the purchase of new chairs for the banquet room possible. We used them for the first time during the Easter Buffet and they really made the room stand out. Vaden will also be sponsoring a Four Man Blind Draw taking place July 13th. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top, three finishing teams. More information will be provided in our next newsletter. From the Pro Shop

Hello everyone! First of all I am so happy that warmer temperatures are here and the grass is starting to green. March was a long, tough month and pretty cold I might add. I hope everyone is as excited as I am about the upcoming summer here at MCC. We have some great things in store as well as some cool projects already underway. Our Wednesday night superball will kick off on June 5th and will continue on every Wednesday throughout the summer. These 9 hole scrambles will start at 6:00 pm each Wednesday. Make sure you call the Pro Shop to sign up for these by 5:00 pm each week. These are a lot of fun and are a great way to interact with other members and meet new members as well. The cost is only $15.00 per person. Our next MGA event is on the weekend of May 4-5. It will be a MemberMember tournament and the entry fee is $80.00 per player. There will be a Calcutta on Saturday morning at 11:00 with lunch to follow. Shotgun start both days at 12:30 pm. Thank you, Tommie

From the Greens Superintendent

Hey. Everybody, Well spring has sprung so has the golf course. The greens are looking good. We made it thru the winter with little winter kill. Fairways are greening up but it has been a long spring with below normal temperatures. We plan to start fertilizing the greens very aggressively. Middle of May we will be applying fertilizer to the fairways. Thanks to Mike Buck we have stump grinder that we can use at our discretion to get stumps out of the way. Thats all for now. Pool Information
Pool will open Memorial Day Week End

May 25 at 10:00 a.m.

We are looking forward to a great year at the pool. The pool and pool areas are being revitalized and it will look fabulous. Please come by and take a look at the new and very much improved look. Pool Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-6pm. Wednesday 10am-9pm. Fridays and Saturdays 10am-6pm. (Hours subject to change) Lifeguards: Whitley Wilson (Head Lifeguard), Madison Moore, Macy Pierce and Amanda Minner. Again this year we will be offering pool only memberships. You can bring outside food or beverages, just please do not bring glass. If going into the Pro Shop or Clubhouse for whatever reason, please have on proper attire and be completely dry from the pool., this applies to every age. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Thank you for your understanding. Swimming lessons are available. Please see the lifeguard on duty for details. Please consider the pool for your next party, wedding or other event. With the revitalized look, there will be no better place to have your event. We can help with food, entertainment and most other reasonable request.
