The Service Leavers Scheme


The Union Jack Club will give free membership for one year to all noncommissioned personnel who are in the process of leaving or within six months of leaving the Services.
Whilst in the Armed Forces, Service personnel are members of the Union Jack Club and, on leaving the Services, required to take out membership and become exservice members. However, join as part of the Service Leavers Scheme and enjoy at least one years free membership, which will assist through the career transition period. As a member of the Union Jack Club, appreciate the benet of a Hotel facility where the main focus is towards the consideration and comfort of the Serving and ex Service person and their family. Located opposite Waterloo Station in the centre of London, the Club is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Whether for accommodation, meeting colleagues or clients, seeing family and friends, lunching, having a drink or just putting your feet up for an hour before travelling on, you are always welcome. As a Charity, the Union Jack Club provides the Armed Forces community with a unique, comfortable and up to date venue in which to relax. It oers over 290 bedrooms comprising singles, doubles, suites, family rooms and wheelchair friendly rooms, all at excellent rates. Members of the Union Jack Club have access to a gym, baggage storage, meeting rooms, bars, restaurant and underground car parking. We also oer private dining and reception facilities with WiFi throughout. If you are leaving soon, or are within 6 months of leaving, then consider the future for yourself and your family and join as part of the Service Leavers Scheme.

Membership of The Union Jack Club is available to Serving & ExService members of the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Marines, Royal Air Force, the Volunteer Reserved and Auxiliary Forces who have remained noncommissioned, but have at least two years Service. Conditions of Membership
Eligibility All Members are subject to the Rules and ByeLaws of The Union Jack Club which are available at The Union Jack Club or online at www.ujclub.co.uk. Spouse membership is for spouse or long term partner of a serving or former noncommissioned member of the Armed Forces, and proof of long term partnership is required such as a joint bank statement or mortgage. Each member will be issued with a membership card, which must be shown on entry to the Club. In the event of anyone other than the owner making use of this card, the owners membership is liable to be cancelled. This Guarantee is oered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits. If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit The Union Jack Club will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request The Union Jack Club to collect a payment, conrmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request. If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by The Union Jack Club or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society. (If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when The Union Jack Club asks you to.) You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written conrmation may be required. Please also notify us.
