And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it lled the entire house where they were sitting.Divided tongues, as of re, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were lled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.

Prelude Welcome, Announcements and Preparation *Opening Hymn Spirit, Come, Dispel Our Sadness, 253 *Invocation (Please pray together.) Nancy Miller Amazing God, you call us today, just as you called the disciples on the Day of Pentecost. You challenge and support us, revealing the brokenness of our communities and giving us the peace that our world needs. You point us to the pain of the cross, and then remind us of the joy of the resurrection. Transform us, O God, through the power of your Holy Spirit. Blow through our worship and change our lives forever. Amen.

Special Offerings: May 19th & 26th for New Church and Church Development in the UCC & DoC
From the UCCs Strengthen the Church Resources Each day, visions and dreams are created in the hearts of many in the United Church of Christ. Through the Strengthen the Church offering, they can become a reality. As God calls our congregations to be church in new ways, your gift will plant new churches, awaken new ideas in existing churches, and develop spiritual life in our youth and young adults. Because of this offering, many more will hear the good news that God is still speaking.
