ASHRAE eLibraries, Courses and Modules

An eLibrary is a collection of courses providing a wide breadth of information. The subscriber can choose any or all courses in that collection for training. On a per-course basis, eLibraries are less expensive than courses. Courses address important single topics within a professional area, resulting in focused, relevant training. Each course consists of a series of modules. Subscribers can follow the recommended module sequence for course completion or develop one of their own. Subscription prices vary by course. Modules provide highly focused information on specialized topics. These informational building blocks enable subscribers to complete training one step at a time. Subscribers use modules when they want very specific knowledge or need a small number of PDHs to satisfy their professional licensing requirements.* Module subscriptions are $95 each ($75 for ASHRAE Members).

Noteworthy Benefits of ASHRAE eLearning

1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Its global. ASHRAE eLearning is currently used in over 40 countries. A reliable Internet connection and computer are the only requirements for connecting professionals around the world to their material, peers, and instructors. Better suits the diverse learning styles of individual learners. ASHRAE eLearning courses provide a single experience accommodating the three distinct learning styles of auditory learners, visual learners, and kinesthetic learners. Makes the learning interactive and more effective. ASHRAE eLearning courses spark the learners active involvement, participation, and engagement in the learning process, which increases motivation and interest. Unlocks the power of self-pacing. Advanced learners can speed through redundant instruction, while novices set their own pace, eliminating frustration with themselves, their fellow learners, and the course. Increases retention and speeds learning times. Well-designed online courses like ASHRAEs frequently increase retention by 25% (J.D. Fletcher, Multimedia Review, 1991) and speed learning times by 40% (Brandon Hall, Web-based Training Cookbook, 1997).

Without this distance learning, it would have been very hard for me to get access to this high-quality material from Mauritius. Whenever I needed help or had a question, the ASHRAE eLearning team was always ready with a speedy reply and sense of professionalism.
Vivekanand Ramsurrun, Mechanical Engineer, Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Mauritius

I find the ASHRAE eLearning courses most interesting, informative, and easy to understand.
Patrick Hing, Senior Design Engineer, P . Eng., C. Eng., LEED AP , FCIBSE, FHKIE, FMecHE (UK)

ASHRAE eLearning is a well put-together program. What makes the program unique is the immediate feedback system, which allows you to go back through the exercises and exams to help ensure your understanding of the topics covered. Most programs out there only provide you with a passing percentage once the course is over, not explaining what concepts you really understood.
Huan Nguyen, Design Application Engineer, Climatec BTG

A great resource. The short time spent taking the course at my own convenience is equal in value to months of working experience
