As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role

of teachers in the class room.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

---------------------------------------------

I don’t agree that because computers are being used more and more in education
computers can replace teachers in class room and education. In this essay I shall
highlight the role of a teacher in education.

A teacher is the one who educates the students. He teaches new things to the
student which they have never known before. Whereas a computer gives information
the said information may or may not be perceived correctly by students. Needless
to say wrong perception may be disastrous and detrimental.

Teachers’ role is not limited to merely teaching syllabus but teachers are the
main character builders and personality builders of the students. Character and
Personality are paramount importance to any individual. In absence of a well
developed Personality and sound character the most highly educated person
miserably fails in the life. Furthermore with the help of computers students can
revise the learned lessons and subjects. Also more information can be obtained on
a particular subject matter. Studies on computers are hassle free and relatively
less time consuming.

When a student does not perform up to the marks, teachers are questioned and they
are answerable. When somebody is answerable quality of education is bound to be
superior. In case a student studies with his or her computer and fails to perform
up to the marks, computer is not anyway answerable. Student is the master of his
own. Even teachers have teachers it is the strongest evidence of importance of
teachers in education. Without teachers education system can not function.

In conclusion computers can no way replace teachers.
