    237 A Atlantic Avenue, North Hampton, NH 03862 www.nhplib.org Minutes of Monday- May 13, 2013 @ 6:30 PM 1. Call to Order: Kelly Parrott, John Kollmorgan, Susan Leonardi, Director Susan Grant, Youth Services Librarian/Assistant Director Lorreen Keating, and Opus Advisor Jamie Forbes were present. 2. Approval of Previous Minutes: Minutes were approved from May 6, 2013. 3. Capital Campaign - Opus Advisors, LLC: Jamie Forbes Review of Campaign Strategy Session and Next Steps- In Jamies opinion the session went well with more discoveries through discussion. We heard more about the local community groups and talked about how to make the library more accessible to them. Additional information that we can answer with our case for support should include what the library values, descriptions of the librarys roles, promotion of the economically diverse populations that use the librarys resources fixed incomes, children, and old-fashioned Yankees. Other community members mentioned the librarys sustainability issue, the library as a community center, and the library including other partnering organizations in town Historical Society. One community member referred to The library as the living room of the community. Kelly Parrott will create an email to share the presentation and handout to people that could not make the session. Discussion of Preliminary Findings Location is an obstacle. Without the exact location and architectural design our fundraising efforts are significantly hindered. Feasibility and Assessment Study Report review session- Jamie hopes to finish the last external interview this week. Planning for Select Board Meeting on 5/20 The Board of Trustees will attend, show our progress so far and formally ask for the Homestead property again. We will also ask for the Library to be put on the charrette Town Hall Day. The charrette process can be found at http://plannh.org/why-does-plan-nh-do-this 4. New Hampshire Library Trustee Association: NHLTA will have their Spring Conference on May 20th. Kelly Parrott and Susan Grant will attend. 5. Determine Date/time for next meeting: Our next Trustee meeting will be Monday June 3, 2013 at 6:30pm. 6. ADJOURN MEETING: Meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.
