Jugnu Ishiqui, earlier known as Suman Mishra, was born and brought up in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.She is an Indian model, actress and a dancer(Live Dance Performer) Her earlier days were a struggle as she came from a middle class household in Kadma-Sonari Link Road. She schooled in the local Motilal Nehru Public School and DBMS English School and went on to graduate from Sophia College for Women in Mumbai. Jugnu's initial ambition was to emulate her father Sushil Kumar Mishra, by becoming a doctor.

Jugnu Ishiqui hit instant fame with a saucy photo shoot for Diwali where all that the gutsy actress wore was a string of firecrackers placed strategically all over her body. And from then, she's been on a roll. She's done promos for MTV's "Fully Faltoo" with VJ Cyrus Sahukar, a music video for the recent Cricket World Cup, appeared as cover girl for September 2009 issue of Debonair magazine and modelled for "Jashn," one of India's top fashion brands. Trained at Creating Characters, an acting school in Mumbai, her other filmy highlights include being named as "Femina's Model of the Month" and appearing as temptress in Season 2 episodes of the popular show "Truth Love Cash" of Channel V. Jugnu will now be seen in "A Game Called Relationship" by Vivek Sharm (director) who made Bollywood movie Bhoothnath and has also worked on Sir, Kal Kissne Dekha and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai; specially approached Jugnu as he was looking for a fresh face to play a sexy model. He felt that the actress has an aura about her that is intriguing and mysterious - the exact qualities he was looking for the role. Industry trade reveals that this director launches anyone he sees a potential in making it big and his judgement has worked wonders so far all debutante actresses he has casted so far have become really popular. And judging by Jugnu's impressive projects, this actress is heading the same path to success like other successful actors from Jamshedpur - R. Madhavan, Simone Singh and Tanushree Dutta among others.

About acting, Jugnu Ishiqui has her own philosophy that helps her ooze confidence when the camera gets rolling. She feels that an actor has to appear completely at ease and tension free while performing a role in front of the camera. It is because she describes the camera as a mother, where nothing escapes her eye about the actor that Jugnu says is her child. Hence Jugnu Ishiqui tries to stay as natural as she can so to be in touch with true emotions and bring out an inner level of refined expressions. This fitness freak, who is also a national-level athlete, stays in shape with a strict schedule of daily yoga and gym. Dance is another thing that gets her going and is a maestro in the Indian classical dance form of kathak. Driving, travelling, surfing and singing are what she unwinds too. But amidst stardom and fame, Jugnu always puts her family first, her mom being closest to her heart.

Her upcoming film is Ammaa Ki Boli (2013), in which she is playing the role of 'Tarla'. She was also seen in the promotional song of the film Loot (2011) "Saari Duniya Mere Ispe".
