Dont stay at home; 17 percent of all accidents occur in the home. Dont walk on the street or the sidewalk; 14 percent of all accidents happen to pedestrians. Dont travel by air, rail, or water; 16 percent of all accidents happen on these. However, only 0.001 percent of all deaths occur in worship services. THOUGHTS FOR MEMORIAL DAY The anthropologist and naturalist, Loren Eiseley, who died in 1977, wanted this epitaph for his wife and himself: We loved the earth, but could not stay. No one can stay, of course. We all are moving inexorably toward that final day when the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed and the fever of life is over, and our work is done ( Book of Commom Prayers). This Memorial Day we particularly remember the men and women who have perished in war, giving the ultimate sacrifice to make the world a better place. They too loved the earth, but could not stay. May God hasten the da y when we can solve our disputes peacefully. We also remember all our loved ones whose stay on Earth is over. Christians believe that death does not end all. We trust that the God who made us will provide for us when our bodies can no longer sustain us. That is a hope we can have for ourselves, our loved ones and those who sacrificed all. (Copied) Jenga is a game where you remove wooden blocks from a tower and stack them on top. The taller the tower gets, the more precarious it is. Eventually the tower topples and crumbles, unable to sustain the weight. Jenga is just a game, but its no laughing matter when the stresses of life pile up on us. Today, your child will learn that God doesnt want us to carry those burdens alone. He made us to help one another. He also died for us so that he could help us Himself. Thank you for supporting the Russellville Church of God Childrens Ministry! ___________ HEAVENS GATES THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE The next performance of Heavens Gates will be rd th August 3 at 7:00 p.m. and August 4 at 6:00 p.m. Please tell your family, friends and neighbors and ask them to make plans to attend. ________________ Our Sunday A.M. & P.M. services are now streaming live on our church website. Pastor Jonathons Word of The Week

The Gift of a New Day This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day in my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, not loss; good, not evil; success, not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price I paid for it.
