. Nel principio, non esisteva nulla. Non cerano persone o piante o animali. Cera solo Dio.

The Bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:8). He is the all-powerful Spirit of love who created the universe and brought us all into being. In the beginning, there were no people. No animals. No flowers. There was only God.

Poi Dio disse: "Sia la luce!". E la luce fu.

Dio separ la luce dalle tenebre. Dio chiam la luce giorno e le tenebre notte.

God said, Let there be light! and there was light. God divided the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness night.

Il secondo giorno, Dio fece una distesa e separ le acque che erano sotto la distesa dalle acque che erano sopra la distesa. Poi Dio chiam la distesa cielo.

On the second day, God said, Let the waters be divided, and let there be sky. And that is what happened.

Il terzo giorno, Dio disse: Le acque che sono sotto il cielo siano raccolte in un unico luogo e appaia lasciutto. E cos fu. Poi Dio disse: Faccia la terra germogliare la verdura, le erbe e gli alberi da frutto.

On the third day, God said, Let the water under the sky be gathered together so that dry land will appear. And it happened. Then God said, Let the earth grow grass, plants and fruit trees.

Il quarto giorno, Dio fece le due grandi luci: la luce maggiore per presiedere al giorno e la luce minore per presiedere alla notte; e fece pure le stelle.

On the fourth day, God made two great lights. He made the sun for the day and the moon for the night. He also made the stars.

Il quinto giorno, Dio cre i grandi animali acquatici e tutti gli esseri viventi che si muovono, e Dio vide che questo era buono. Poi Dio li benedisse dicendo: Crescete, moltiplicatevi e riempite le acque dei mari, e si moltiplichino gli uccelli sulla terra. On the fifth day, God created all the many living things in the sea and the birds that fly in the air. And God saw that this was good. God then blessed all the living things in the sea and told them to have many babies and fill the seas. He also blessed the birds on land and told them to have many more babies.

Il sesto giorno, Dio disse: Produca la terra animali: bestiame, rettili e animali selvatici della terra. E cos fu.

On the sixth day, God said Let there be all kinds of animals wild animals, tame animals and small creatures. And that is what happened.

Poi Dio un uomo e una donna e li benedisse.

Then God made a man and a woman, and blessed them.

Il settimo giorno Dio si ripos da tutta lopera che aveva fatta. L'intera creazione di Dio una testimonianza costante non solo della sua esistenza, ma anche del suo amore, della sua considerazione e del suo interesse verso di noi, che ci dimostra dandoci un mondo cos bello in cui vivere!

On the seventh day, God rested from all His work.

God's whole creation proves that He is real. The fact that He gave us such a beautiful world to live in also shows His great love and care for us.
