Council President Robert A. Maiocco called the Sixteenth Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.
ROLL CALL SALUTE TO THE FLAG RECORDS

The Records of the Meeting of April 19, 2011 were passed to Councillor Camuso. MOTION, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS 11-376-Offered by Council Camuso Be it Resolved that the Medford City Council sends it best wishes to retiring Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cheryl White. 11-377-Offered by Council Camuso Be it Resolved that the Medford City Council sends it best wishes to newly appointed Chamber of Commerce Interim Executive Director Richard Caraviello. 11-378-Offered by Council Camuso Be it Resolved that the Medford DPW Commissioner contacts the DCR to repair a major pot hole on Route 16 at the entrance to Station landing. 11-379-Offered by Council Marks Whereas the weekly city council meetings serve as an open public forum for resident input and discussion and Whereas many of the issues and request for information involve the city administration and 1

Be it Resolved that the Mayor or his designee attend the weekly Medford City Council meetings in the interest of working together. 11-385-Offered by Councillor Marks Be it Resolved that students from the Medford Vocational Technical High School Carpentry Shop be commended for winning "Best Presentation" in the Design for Reuse and Sustainability contest. The student's project was chosen from 25 competing schools and the purpose of the contest was to demonstrate sustainable reuse practices by repurposing donated office furniture. Further be it resolved that the students appear before the city council for citations. 11-386-Offered by Councillor Camuso Be It Resolved that the Medford City Council commend and congratulate the Medford Girls U14 Youth Hockey Team in capturing the State Girls U14 Championship and be it further resolved that the Team and Coaches be invited to an upcoming Council Meeting to receive Council Commendations 11-387-Offered by Councillor Penta Be it Resolved that the street sweeping and City signage use be discussed in the interest of fairness PETITIONS, PRESENTATIONS AND SIMILAR MATTERS 11-384Petition for Common Victualler License by Ibrahim Ibrahim, 5 Pepper Hill Drive, Winchester, MA for the Black Seed Caffe and Grill, LLC at 3850 Mystic Valley Parkway, Medford.
