Government Decree 50 On 7 March, 2013.

Georgia should be made with the decision of the annex of the EU and the member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the technical regulations.

Article 2
Georgia, the countries of the Annex to this resolution shall be recognized / accredited conformity assessment bodies issued by the documents.

Article 3
Resolution of countries listed in Annex imported from the product safety and the free flow of the regulated area within the product, which has the same countries, legislation conformity assessment documents and marking, the competent authority for the documents presented, the market for restrictions and additional (repeat) conformity assessment procedures. .

Article 4
"Laws" of the law 25 - pursuant to Article invalidate "the recognition by other countries and the technical rules" of the government's decree 45 dated 24 February 2006.

Article 5
The resolution shall come into effect from March 2013.

The EU and the member states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, a list of technical regulations for operating in Georgia is allowed

It was noted that the principle of recognition of technical regulations of other countries is incorrect. Pursuant to the Code on the Security and Free Movement of Products, the application of the technical regulations of another country is allowed if a product manufactured in Georgia is intended for export to that country. In such a case, the entrepreneur can use the technical regulations of the destination country. Moreover, only the technical regulations of those countries which have a developed quality infrastructure are recognized (see, the Government of Georgia Order No 50, 7 March 2013).
