RESULTS REPORTING FROM INGUAT REVEALS THAT THE PROMOTION STRATEGIES OF GUATEMALA ABROAD HAVE OBTAINED FINALLY GREAT RESULTS With the governments help, Inguat had the opportunity to invest in the tourism of Guatemala. Thanks to this, there has been more trade and more jobs for Guatemalans. With the implementation of strategic plans and new campaigns, the results obtained have been motivating and encourage the perspective of the touristic section development in Guatemala. There is also the contribution of the media aboard that have achieve the expected effects and there are various promotions that are performed in medias such as New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Houston Chronicle, there also many magazines. There are also television media international campaigns such as channel CNN; electronic medias such as Facebook, Google, Youtube, TripAdvisor, Expedia and others that were used as tools to make people know more about touristic places of Guatemala.
Some of the strategies of promotion have been fairs and caravans arount the world and even International fairs that started in January and ended in April.
Tikal and Antigua Guatemala are the places with more foreign tourist influence. According to the Inguats director, Pedro Pablo Duchez, Ro Dulce and Las Verapaces are the ones following.

Now a Barbie Cafe, a restaurant dedicated to the doll, has opened in Taiwan and its as pink and plastic as one might expect. It was open in February 1, 2013. The restaurant has been licensed by Mattel, the US toy manufacturing giant and creator of Barbie, and has opened in Taipei, Taiwans capital city. Mattel hopes that the caf, located in the shopping district of the city, will promote Barbie as a fashion brand. The staff who work at the restaurant use a practical uniform of pink Barbie logo T-shirts, matching tutus, Barbie logo armbands and glitter and tiaras on their heads. The reason why managers of Mattel chose Taiwan was because theme restaurants are very popular and successful there. They also have hopes that this caf will attract Barbie fans from China, Hong Kong and Japan.
