We Children of the Struggle Poem Africa is my happy home, the landscape of my dreams; Land of music and art, witness

of fires first coming into being; Hope for the future as mother of the world civilizations. I love Africa; it is the home I belong to; A continent rich in cultures, languages, rituals and religions; Struggling to overcome man-made and natural disasters; Challenges that lead the strength of many African heroes; We Africans are spiritually connected to our roots; We seek values that link us to our ancestors enclave; Bounding families, languages, rituals, and religions, In the traditional African context; We Africans are proud of our cultural heritage. I will always be proud of Africa for its hospitality; African love has no boundaries; everyone is welcome home;

Africans Leaders, Shall we develop a spirit of self-reliance And self-confidence for our peoples sake? With regard to leadership, African leaders, Belonging to one ethnicity group or to another, Bind your leadership to Africas stronghold national heritage, To include values that bound together the people you lead.

African Leaders, In our days, and for all African societies, A good leader is very simple to define; A good African leader is one that cares for his people, And takes account of the children in any policy decision. African Leaders, Its time to end our people's struggle; Having leaders able to feel on their flesh, The painful struggle of their citizens, And Take action to alleviate their suffering, It is all we expect, we children of the struggle.

African Leaders Male or female African leaders; Belonging to one ethnicity group or to the other; Makes no difference at all within our open societies. What counts is having leaders who care for their people; Someone who can bring us altogether; Bind all African tribes together; And bring all the languages spoken all over Africa alive.

African Leaders Shall the struggle of the Black folk last forever? We children of the struggle deserve much better living standards; We are tired of whipping tears and deserve our struggle to end; So we can return to our huts without fear of being shot, With weapons that we Africans have not developed ourselves. We children of the struggle want to go back to the wilderness; Visit our grandparents grave and admire their wisdom; Then return safely in the city without fear of being persecuted, By ideologies that we Africans have not written ourselves. We children of the struggle want to feel united; We want to speak our languages altogether; We want to move without boarders all over Africa; We want to hear our traditional songs in our festivities. African Leaders Africa needs to come together for rebirth and prosperity; Whether the ruler be a Muslim or Christian; Yoruba or Hausa; Hutu or Tutsi; Edeeya, Fang, or Ndowe From Jartun or Darfur; and whatever the party he belongs to; We want our people to be united and feel safer at home; African leaders, Shall we develop a spirit of self-reliance And self-confidence for our people? Shall Africans struggle last forever?

African leaders, Please listen to our voices we can all work together; Please, listen to our voices... we are tired of crying; Please, listen to our voices...help us wipe our tears; Please, listen to our voicesour struggles deserve to end;

Please, listen to our voices....no more fighting. We are tire of fighting and whipping tears and We do not want to fight to one another and cry anymore. All we are asking for is having good African leaders, Who care for us, we children of the struggle Mother Africa is being left barren and widow as result of So many struggles and the fighting between her children.
