E-Vote for KC!

Krempels Center has been nominated to receive a donation from the Provident Bank. How much we receive depends on how many e-votes we get. Voting closes on June 15th so vote now by clicking here!

The rain ended early Sunday morning and we even got blue skies for our sold-out race Runner's Alley/Redhook 5k. Over 2,000 registered entrants completed the course, the most ever, crossing the finish line walking, running, and wheeling their chairs. Thank you to all of the dedicated volunteers and businesses, all of you, who help us make this happen, this year and every year. The final count isn't in yet, but we expect that more than $60,000 was raised from this event. And all proceeds benefit us, Krempels Center. We are grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support. We've posted over 200 photos on our Facebook page (photos taken by member Charlene Lister). View them here!

Krempels Center's First Ever Reunion!

Our Summer Bash is always a great time. This year's cookout is going to be a little different--we are planning a Krempels Center reunion! We are inviting all former and current members and family caregivers of KC, former Krempels grant recipients as well as former and current interns and board members, so please help us get the word out. We will have a catered barbeque, lawn games, a slide show, and time to visit

with friends. For our barbeque, we thank the generosity and vision of Shane Pouliot and the Ashley Pouliot Memorial Fund. Here's the backstory: Shane and Ashley were members who met at Krempels Center. Their marriage was tragically cut short by Ashley's death at the age of 25. The Ashley Pouliot Memorial Fund will sponsor this Krempels Center reunion-bringing old and new friends together for an afternoon of community. So mark your calendar now! Wednesday, July 24th from noon to 1:50pm in the gym/front lawn of the Community Campus. Please RSVP to Lisa Hanson Ashley Pouliot lhanson@krempelscenter.og or call (603)433-9821 by Friday, July 12, 2013 to let us know if you will be joining us!

More Than a Speed Bump

Our own Jim Scott published his first book More Than A Speed Bump early this year. Jim wrote this book as a therapeutic exercise for himself--it's the story of his accident and the aftermath of living with a brain injury. After reading his book, friends and family urged him to publish it, to get his story out. Jim went with a small local publisher and has already had several reprintings. His book rates five stars (the most!) on Amazon and has elicited many requests for speaking engagements. Through his readers, Jim has learned that his story touches a much wider audience than he would have imagined. We have several copies in the KC library to lend (all are currently checked out) or you can purchase it from Amazon or Piscataqua Press (a project of the independent
