Sponsorship Proposal:
Dear We are a community-driven sporting event company called Hometown Heroes. Our mission is to bring together various businesses, sports teams and public service organizations from across Northern Ontario to compete in sporting events and help raise money for charity! This summer we are hosting a tri-sport weekend tournament from July 12th-14th, 2013 in North Bay, Ontario. We are projecting an overall attendance of more than 250 athletes and their families, and through media coverage we plan on making it a large scale community event that spectators can enjoy as well. Part of the tournaments proceeds will be donated to KidSport, an organization committed to giving all children regardless of circumstance the chance to play sports! We are currently looking for companies to partner with us as sponsors in this unique opportunity. Sponsorship is needed to cover some of the large expenses associated with running an event of this size. Sponsorship would help cover rental fees, stang costs, venue bookings, etc. and would go a long way in ensuring the overall success of the event. Sponsorship money will also go towards additional side events over the weekend which will help raise even more money for Kidsport, such as the softball and hockey accuracy contests. By covering these costs, we can ensure a substantial donation is made to KidSport, which is the ultimate goal of the tournament. Our top priority is to ensure that all sponsorship relationships are mutually benecial. Sponsorship is on the rise as businesses are increasingly seeing the tremendous value in sponsoring community events. There will be several ways in which the tournament can provide your business with a protable return on your sponsorship investment. Through your sponsorship, some of the benets your company will experience include, but are not limited to: a positive image from sponsoring a charityoriented event, increased company exposure and brand awareness across Northern Ontario, and recognition as a contributor to the KidSport fund. There will also be promotion of your company during the event itself as well as through several media sources throughout North Bay, such as the Nipissing News (37,000 papers), Bay Today, Cogeco Television, and CTV News leading up to and following the event. As the following pages explain in more detail, there are several levels of sponsorship support available that could go a long way in helping this tournament reach its full potential. The KidSport charity events involve participants paying an entrance fee and having the opportunity to win entry into a rae for grand prizes.
