TASK OUTLINE During this unit, we have examined many ways to compose for a purpose. Among these, we have looked at posters, advertising campaigns and articles and how they convey meaning. You will be required to create a poster, advertisement OR feature article based on one of the following topics: Body image Poverty Rihanna (or any musician, but you must ask your teacher first). 2. To do this, you must place emphasis on the literary and visual techniques and features associated with the composition form and include relevant information. 3. You are to provide a minimum of 50 words on the context, purpose and target audience of your composition. Note: You will be given one lesson in class to work on this. Students will be assessed on their ability to: Create a poster, advertisement or article that utilises at least two key features of the form. Reveal an understanding of relevant and appropriate information that relates to the topic they have chosen. Effectively analyse the context, purpose and target audience of their composition. On the due date, you will submit (hand in) your task to your English teacher during class. Your composition may be printed or handmade/written. 1. See your class teacher. 2.
