ASTROS MANAGER BO PORTER: On getting the bats going in the 9th inning: Its never too late when youre able to put together a 6-run inning, especially after the woes weve had the last two games. It was definitely good to see the guys break out and put together some good at-bats there in the 9th inning. On what he saw from his batters in the 9th inning: I think it was definitely a matter of good at-bats. Corporan did a great job getting the bunt down, putting the men in scoring position, and [Carter] got a pitch that he can drive, and he didnt miss it, backspinned the ball. I thought Barnes at-bat was real huge, just to give us a little bit of cushion, and [Altuve] with a big RBI. On Jordan Lyles outing: Jordan was outstanding again tonight. Youre talking 7.0 solid innings. He attacked the zone even at times in which he got into trouble. You can see the look in his eyes and the patience and poise of Im going to make quality pitches to get out of this. I thought the big strikeouts there with the bases loaded were huge, absolutely locked into his pitches, understood exactly how he wanted to pitch those guys and made quality pitch after quality pitch.
