ARCHAEOLOGY Tom Helliwell of Harvey Mudd College will discuss how 2 scholars deciphered mysterious clay tablets found in 1900 on Crete. The decipherment, completed in 1952, is considered one of the great intellectual achievements of the 20th century. A buffet lunch is available at 11:30 a.m. for $12.
