Some Like It Fast, Some Like It Slow A Algunos Les Gusta Rápido, A Otros Les Gusta Despacio
Sometimes the fanciful tale may express a wish. A five-year-old girl told the neighborhood childrenon a hot August daythat when it rained the night before that her basement filled with water and she now had a swimming pool. Before her mother could deal with the tall tale, the other children arrived in their bathing suits. Her wish had been expressed in her fanciful tale. So...tall tales occur from time to time with your kindergarten child. Instead of making him feel like a bad person, talk...and find out what he is hiding...or wanting...and why. Keep it comfortable for him to tell you the truth...as he sees it. This kind of interaction becomes even more important later on.
theres more to it, so you think: Is she picking up the habit of lying? In most cases, she is not willfully lying. For example: FIVE and friend: are having a race on their tricycles up the driveway. Neck and neck they go. FIVE is out front, but then quits pedaling. Friend hits her tricicle causing it to turn over. Result: Scraped knee and elbow. Loud complaint: Friend did it.
As que CINCO no est mintiendo.
What really happened? Well, FIVE might have seen her dog cross in front of her or she might have heard her mother call. Either distraction caused a disruption and she quit pedaling. She cant quite yet listen and look and move all at the same time. So FIVE is not lying. And you know whyshe cant look and listen and move at the same time! It is important for you to know that she has not fully completed as yet her basic development.
