    Whilewearedoingeverythingwecantolimittheimpacttothelearningenvironment, therewillbecutstoourteachingfacultyandtheserviceswehavebeenabletopreviouslyprovide forourstudents. Duetothebudgetcutsthefollowingmodificationsarebeingrecommended: 1)TheWritingCenteriseliminated. 2)Allstudentswilltakesixclasses.Weareexploringthefeasibilityofcharginga $500classfeeforstudentswhowanttotakeaseventhclassandascholarshipfundforstudents whoreceive feewaivers.Wewouldusethefeemoneytobuybackteacherstoteach additionalclasses. 3)Reducingthenumberofworldlanguagestaughtatourschool. 4)Reducingfaculty/staffpositionsby8.5. 5)CuttingACTPrepclassestobeforeandafterschoolonly. 6)Streamliningournoncoreclasseswhichwillreducethenumberofelectivesoffered innoncoreareassuchasbusiness,worldlanguage,art,music,etc. Inadditiontotheimpactonourinstructionalbudget,ouroperationsbudgethasalsobeen reduced.ItismysincerehopethattheBoardofEducationwillfindawaytoincreaseour

    instructionalbudgetsothatwewillnotbeforcedtotakethesedrasticmeasures.Conversations withstaff/facultythatareinjeopardyoflosingtheirjobswerepainful.Likeinyearspast,Iam hopefuloverthesummerourbudgetswillreflectadditionalrevenueandwewillbeabletorestore ourcompleteworkforce.
