With this engagement of TUNA DOES VEGAS, Broadway in Tucson begins a new
partnership with the Fox Tucson Theatre and the Tucson Convention Center. In addition to
utilizing the Tucson Music Hall and Leo Rich Theater for their regular series events, Broadway
in Tucson will begin to rent the Fox Tucson Theatre for some special events. In the
2009/2010 Season, Broadway in Tucson will present THE TEN TENORS HOLIDAY
CONCERT at the Fox Theatre.

“The Fox Theatre is truly a jewel and the intimate relationship between the audience and the
stage is the best possible environment for the style of physical and verbal humor in TUNA
DOES VEGAS,” said Lendre Kearns, General Manager of Broadway in Tucson. “While many
of the shows we bring to Tucson require the larger stage space of the Music Hall, we have
other shows will fit beautifully into the Fox and will be well served by its amenities. In
addition, the Music Hall is a very busy place so the Fox will allow us to bring some
engagements we might have had to pass on because of hall availability.”

“The relationship with the Nederlander Organization has been a great asset for downtown,”
said Fox Theatre Executive Director Rich Singer. “More than 425,000 patrons have attended
the plays, musicals and concerts they have presented downtown. We are pleased that they
will be utilizing the Fox Theatre as an additional venue for their engagements and that they
are introducing this fine venue to their season ticket holders… some of whom have not yet
had a chance to discover it!”

Starring the incomparable duo Joe Sears and Jaston Williams, TUNA DOES VEGAS reunites
the lovable and eccentric characters from the ‘third smallest town in Texas’ as they take a
rambling romp in Sin City. The hilarity begins when oddball-conservative radio host Arles
Struvie announces on air that he and his wife Bertha Bumiller are heading to Vegas to renew
their wedding vows…but everyone in Tuna, Texas goes along for the ride! Written by Jaston
Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, TUNA DOES VEGAS will feature the favorite characters
from the award-winning “Greater Tuna” productions with some new characters, too… all
staged under the directorial hand of Mr. Howard.

TUNA DOES VEGAS balances as both an affectionate comment on small-town life and
attitudes as well a hilarious satire of the same. The eclectic band of citizens that make up
this town are portrayed by only Mr. Sears and Mr. Williams, making this send-up on life in
rural America even more delightful as they depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna—men,
women, as well as Vegas showgirls, Elvis impersonators and more!

TUNA DOES VEGAS will feature scenery designed by Christopher McCollum, costumes
designed by Linda Fisher, lighting designed by David Nancarrow and sound designed by Ken
Huncovsky.
