4. The comment about the use of teaching aids by Mathematics teachers in the school that we visited in the aspect of: a. How frequency teachers make use of teaching aids is: After I interviewed the Mathematics teachers and students, I found that the use of teaching aids by Mathematics teachers in class is depends on the topics that they teach. If the topic is difficult and the pupils cannot understand, then the teacher will use the teaching aids. Teachers said that, they do not have enough time to use the teaching aids with the lesson they teach. So, the use of teaching aids in classroom is seldom.

b. The relevancy of teaching aids/materials available to the Mathematics curriculum: From my view after sat in a Mathematics lesson, I found that the teaching aids/material that used in that school is relevant to the Mathematics curriculum. The teaching aids are simply and easy to handle and to understand by the pupils. When the teaching aids are used, the learning process among the pupils became effective. c. Convenience of getting/borrowing the teaching material: The school is under renovation, so all the teaching aids are kept in the classroom without proper arrangement. So, this caused difficulty to the teachers to borrow the teaching aids. So, some of teachers do not want use the teaching aids until the renovation finish. But, some teachers kept themselves the teaching aids after used, so they no need to keep back in storeroom.

a) The comments about the effectiveness of using Mathematics workbook in the school that we visit are as follows: The effectiveness of using Mathematics workbook in the school that we visit is good. This is because, the teachers use the workbook as extra exercises for the students. So, the students not only depend on the school text book. They get extra exercises and knowledge by using the workbook. My teacher advisor informs me that, after used the workbook, some students are able to improve their Mathematics skills and they also obtain good results in their last semester exam.

b) The advantages and disadvantages of using Mathematics workbooks. i. The advantages of using Mathematics workbooks are: Pupils get extra exercises and extra Mathematics knowledge. Pupils able to improve themselves in the topics they weak. Pupils can improve their Mathematics marks in exams. Pupils are exposing to variety types of questions. Pupils can prepared themselves with challenging questions. Enhance pupils confidents. ii. The disadvantages of using Mathematics workbooks are: Students will confused with many types of questions. Students only depends on that types of questions as in workbooks, so they may not able to do other types of questions. Teachers also may depends on that workbooks and do not want use other teaching materials or sources.

c. The comment about doing selected questions or problems based on text book compare to doing all exercises in the workbooks are as follows: If pupils do all the exercises in the workbooks, they can improve their Mathematics skills and knowledge. They also will expose to variety of questions which help them in their examinations. Besides that, doing many exercises will enhance pupils confident. If pupils do only selected questions or problems, they may not understanding the Mathematics concept very well compare by doing all exercises in the workbooks. Furthermore, they also get difficulty in doing the examinations because the questions in exams are

more challenging compare to the questions in text book which are simple and easy questions.
