Panel 1: From the Page to the Stage


Experienced panelists will share how they were able to get their businesses started. What pushed them to do it. Moderator:
Ryan Hamilton Operator of Hamilton Manor, Ryan is a farmer by trade and a lawyer in training. Having worked in banking and finance, marketing and public relations he realised that a 9 -5 was not providing the fulfilment he sought. Ryan decided to explore agriculture on a full time basis.

Panelists: Marc Laird


Owner and Operations Manager of Strictly Events Jamaica. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug while attending the University of Technology, Marcs company began as a side business. Marc is also one of the assignments on the "Innovators" television show and is a current participant in the Jamaica Observer Mogul in the making.

Anna Sarayna Edwards


Anna has been doing make up professionally for over four years and currently provides the service under her brand, SARAYNA DESIGNS which is a creative company that also does soft furnishings. She obtained her certification in Makeup Artistry in 2009 at the FacePlace in Kingston and has been working to perfect her art since then. Anna has worked with clients both locally and internationally providing makeup services, workshops and consultation.

Diahann Green
Author, Creative Entrepreneur, Motivational Coach, Freelance Writer Yahoo! Contributor Network and the list goes on. Diahann is passionate about everything that she does and believes that it is through sharing information that people will learn, grow and ultimately realise their dreams.

Damian Johnson
Damian Johnson began the working world as a Graphic Artist in 1996, and has worked in various areas of the industry. A graduate of the Caribbean Institute of Technology he gained most of his software development experience working with US based Indusa Global LLC then Digital Technology on various projects. In 2005 he and a colleague formed a company called New Media Studios which dealt solely with software development and large format prints. In 2009 DOJ Marketing was formed which now merged all of Damians past experience namely web development, programming, graphic design and outdoor advertising.

Presenter: D.J. Mr. Image Shaw

With regular featured appearances as TVJs image expert on the stations morning programme Smile Jamaica; D.J. has made a name for himself, over the past 4 years, as the go -to person on all matters related to image. His clientele spans the gamut of beauty queens, media personalities, actors, and corporate executives. He is also Personal stylist to Olympian - Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, host of new style show on CVM - StyleU. With tertiary training in Communication and Psychology, D.J. is well -equipped to tackle the ABCs of image Appearance, Behaviour and Communication. Albeit, a proverbial workaholic, with his many stints as style book critic for Bookophilia, and expert male style contributor/ advisor forwww.ohthatsyou.com (a California-based style site), D.J. makes time to give back. He is currently a member of the Jamaican arm of the internationally renowned Dress For Success charity organisation, where he acts as personal shopper for underprivileged women and sits on the management team Even closer to his heart are his stints as a commercial model, stage actor, and his full -time job as a father.

Panel 2: Get the Money to Make the Money
Panelists will share how one can source capital to start their business Moderator:
Kelli-Dawn Hamilton An avid believer in following ones passions, Kelli-Dawn is an entrepreneur at heart. She has tried a number of ventures and believes that once you stop learning, you stop growing. Motivational speaker and founder of Infinite Courage, she believes that anything is possible, it just takes the right mind-set.

Panelists: Robin Chin


Robin is a film producer, director and owner of Enhanced Realizm Studios Limited. Robin is passionate about film and recognises the importance of doing something you love as a way to keep the doors of creativity opened to continue growing and learning.

Neville Graham
Neville is the Managing Director for NCR Sheep Ltd. A chemical engineer, and former President of the Rotaract Club of New Kingston, Neville decided that in order to realise his dream of retiring by the age of forty he had to own his own business. Darren Scott
Darren Scott is a mostly self-taught, freelance film Director and Cinematographer (director of photography) in the Film and Advertising industry of Jamaica. He pursued a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Technology, however realized that the 9 -5 mundane working environment was not for him. Darren is the owner of Jambredz Visions.

Chris Goulbourne Chris knew that he had the entrepreneurial bug from very early on and felt that his destiny was tied to his ability to chart his own course. He is now the Marketing/PR Consultant for Monumental Partners Limited.
