The MPL 1204 4-bus mixer is designed for use in live and monitor mixing, keyboard setups, recording and fixed installations. This versatile mixer features 12 input channels (XLR and balanced 1/4) with mic and line trim pots, 3-band EQ, 2 Aux sends (1 pre, 1 post) plus solo and bussing switches. The master section incorporates a Main Level, Control Room level, 2 stereo Aux returns and a front panel headphone jack and level control. Solo, phantom power and a meter switch (to monitor busses 1/2 or 3/4) are placed below the LED display along with a tape switch to monitor a stereo signal into channels 11/12. There are also assignable sub group switches for the Master and Control Room outputs. All connections are mounted on the rear of the mixer making it ideal for racks and installations.

ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS SPECIFICATION

The mixer shall be 12 in/4 out (2 main, 2 control room) and shall incorporate 12 monophonic microphone/line input channels. Microphone inputs shall be on balanced XLR connectors and monophonic line inputs shall be on balanced 1/4 Tip-Ring-Sleeve phone connectors. An independent stereo line-level tape input (routed to channels 11 and 12) shall be on phono connectors. Each channel shall have a trim control, 2 auxiliary sends, 3-band equalization and a gain control. In addition, all channels shall have a stereo panpot control and channel inserts on balanced 1/4 Tip-Ring-Sleeve phone connectors. The mixer shall provide main outputs on balanced XLR connectors, control room outputs on balanced 1/4 Tip-Ring-Sleeve phone connectors, 4 bus outputs on unbalanced 1/4 phone connectors, 4 bus inserts on balanced 1/4 Tip-Ring-Sleeve phone connectors and a headphone output on 1/4 Tip-Ring-Sleeve phone connector. The unit shall provide 2 aux sends on 1/4" phone connectors and 2 stereo aux returns on 1/4 phone connectors having independent level and balance controls. The mixer shall have all connectors, except headphone jack, on the rear panel. Phantom power of +48 V shall be provided for operation of condenser microphones. Indicators shall be provided for power and +48 V. The unit shall be of a rackmount type taking 4 standard rack spaces. The mixer shall have E.I.N. of -130 dBu (mic) and -130 dBu (line), THD less than 0.03% and frequency response of -3 dB from 10 Hz to 60 kHz. Dimensions shall be 19 (482 mm) wide, 7.1 (179 mm) deep and 7 (177 mm) high (4 rack spaces). Weight shall be 15.9 lb. (7.2 kg). The mixer shall carry a three-year warranty. The mixer shall be a SAMSON MPL 1204.
