Role: Worker's Bar Volunteers - Latin American Solidarity Centre What's Involved? LASC is working with the Workers Beer Company (http://www.workersbeer.co.uk/) and is looking for volunteers for the following events: * Pheonix Park - Wednesday 10th July Justin Timberlake *Phoenix Park - Saturday 13th July The Killers *Phoenix Park - Sunday 14th July Mumford & Sons *About Workers Beer Company: Workers Beer Company servers are volunteers and their wages are donated to the organisations they support. Since the beginning, we have donated over 5 million to social causes. We have now traded every year since we started at Glastonbury in 1986. Where: Phoenix Park, Dublin 8 When: 10th 14th July Role: WALK Befriender - WALK What's Involved? The mission of the service is to support people with learning disabilities to explore social and recreation opportunities according to their wishes and abilities. We encourage service users to participate to the best of their ability in all aspects of the running of the service. We support people to develop friendships, and to support participation in their community, by providing individualised personal support and encouragement. Volunteers provide a critical input to the Service. Tasks: Provide individualised Friendship & Support to our members. *Help to create a Friendly & Pleasent Atmosphere. *Encourage, Guide & Praise our members rather than Do It Yourself. *Share talents you may have with the Service, e.g. art, music etc.etc. *Ensure all activities take place in a safe environment. *Participate as part of a Team.involved/fundraise/challenge-yourself/colour-dash/register. Where: 1 Long Mile Road, Walkinstown, Dublin 12 When: Mon, Thurs Evening and Sun Afternoon Role: Practice Development - Full Time Volunteer - Dublin Simon Community What's Involved? Purpose: To provide office support ensuring that all administrative duties are carried out effectively, monthly reporting completed accurately and on time and that the day to day business of the practice development office runs smoothly. Where: Capel Street, Dublin 1 When: 35 hours a week Mon-Fri Role: Event Volunteers July 12th-14th - Laya Healthcare Street Performance World Championships What's Involved? Artist liaisons, supervising fun areas, providing information to the public about the event, assisting stage managers with stage production, assisting in general event production. Where: Merrion Square, Dublin 2 When: July 12th-14th Role: Full Time Volunteer Volunteer Management - Dublin Simon Community What's Involved: Purpose: To support the Volunteer Department with the day to day running of volunteer programmes in Dublin Simon Community Dublin Simon Community have a well established history of volunteering and our programmes are constantly evolving and expanding. Where: Capel Street, Dublin 1 When: 35 hours a week Role: Box Office - Underground Cinema Film Festival What's Involved: Underground Cinema are widely recognised for presenting some of the most unique,

cutting edge, visionary works that Irish cinema has to offer and take pride in bringing attention to the Irish filmmaker with the same enthusiasm that is often reserved for international artists.
