BOSTON WHY?
BOSTON 4.15.13
NOWHERE TO RUN?
Monday afternoon April, 15 the United States was once again grieve-stricken and shocked by tragedy. With runners crossing the finish line of the Boston Marathon, two explosions rattled the nearby area causing several injuries including three fatalities. People at the scene describe the bombing as feeling like shock waves. The horrific attack has sparked view points from several angles. If runners arent safe at a family-friendly environment, just where can one go? Does every large crowd or event need high security? What also isnt clear is who and why it was done. It doesnt look to be an act of terrorism, but the FBI (who has taken over the investigation) will sort that out. According to multiple news reports, a suspect has been identified but not yet arrested. Although this was a horrendous act, it was likely by one man or a select group. The world is not evil. People come together and prove to be resilient in tough times.
News Update: 4/22: Friday April 19th Police identified two suspects from images taken at the Marathon as possible bombers. During a pursuit on Thursday, one, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26 was shot and killed and was also accused of killing an MIT policeman. His 19 year old brother, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, was captured after sustaining massive injuries in a firefight with police. A huge manhunt to capture the young suspect united the city. As of Monday, the suspect, possibly influenced by Muslim terrorist orgs in Chechnya was unable to speak, but was communicating via written notes to investigators. Apparently the two men were from Chechnya, a volatile and war stricken Southern province in Russia. Though both were good students and had lived in the US for years they had grown interested in their Muslim faith and had become increasingly disenchanted with American life. Bostonians celebrated the capture Sunday by a massive turn out at the Red Sox game.

Lifestyles of the Rich Who Have too Much Money and Dont Know What to do With It?
It has been said that money makes the world go round. It has also been said that the love of money is the root of all evil. Whatever our beliefs about money are, the truth of the matter is that we need it to survive. Even if we are Frugal McDoogal we still need a few bills to buy the hemp string and the needles to sew our clothes. Occasionally though, we hear of those that society terms the super-rich. These are the individuals that have so much money that it often seems as if they dont know what to do with it. Here are just a few examples of some of the things the insanely wealthy are able to do with their money. 1. A pushy sales guy in Turkey convinced Ben Affleck to purchase a $2,500 rug ... but with no place else to put it, it ended up becoming a bath mat by Affleck's tub. 2. When Bono left his hat in Italy, he did what any normal person would do: spent $1,700 on a plane ticketfor the hat. 3. Lady Gaga spent $50,000 on a meter meant to ... keep away ghosts. 4. Victoria Beckham's iPhone 4 is made of 24 karat gold, and cost her $35,000. 5. Kim Basinger may take the cake: She once purchased an entire Georgia town for $20 million. 6. Beyonce spent $100,000 on a pair of gold Balenciaga leggings which she wore at the BET awards in 2007. 7. Chris Brown spent $1.5 million on a Bugatti - one of the most expensive cars ever made 8. Paris Hilton splashed out a reported $325,000 on a 300 square foot mini mansion - a replica of her own home for her dogs. 9. Rihanna is rumored to pay $1 million a year to keep her hair in check 10. When Kelis and rapper Nas got married, they spent $36,000 on matching gold 'grills' for their teeth. Hers read 'tasty', his read 'nasty' 11. At an auction in 1999, Mariah Carey spent $662,500 on a white baby grand piano that had once belonged to Marilyn Monroe This is just a glimpse at what some people have the ability to do with the money they earn or inherit. Dave Ramsey would definitely have a very different opinion of what could be done with this money. For those of us that are just starting in our careers, it seems that we can continue to pursue or dreams. One day we may be the celebrity that owns a million dollar 24 karat gold bath tub.

After much anticipation from fans around the world Fall Out Boy has released their new studio album Save Rock and Roll. The album dropped on April 10th of this year and was met with high hopes; unfortunately for fans of the previous Fall Out Boy style and albums this one is a bust. The album is classified as part of the Pop Punk genre of music, but is really more on the Pop side of the genre. The album single What You Did in the Dark (Light em Up) was supposed to build hype for the album, but left several fans wanting more of than what was featured. Fans like myself were in high hopes that the album would hold more promise than the single, it does not offer any at all. The title Save Rock and Roll is a title rolling in irony and hypocrisy. The album places another nail in the coffin of rock n roll falling in with common pop artists such as FUN and other bands that are a dime a dozen. The album more so condemns Rock and Roll then saves it. Half way into the album this reporter was praying that his ear drums would rupture. Take a tip from me and save your money and save your ears; this is the kind of generic crap that will bombard the radio for the next few years. Overexposure is a guarantee for this album and the band will be known by everyone as their debut sell-out album.
