How to Read the Hose Section

Coalmaster Hose
Parker Hose Nomenclature Parker offers a wide variety of hoses including braided, Example: 451TC-8 spiral, multi-purpose, transportation, refrigerant, 451TC-8 - Hose Type LP gas and more. Parkers product line has been 451TC-8 - Indicates the special feature of the tested and approved to meet and exceed global stan hose (in this case,Tough Cover) dards. Our hoses range in size from 3/16 to 3 I.D. 451TC-8 - Hose inside diameter dash size (in this case, 8/16 or 1/2) and are compatible with crimp and field-attachable style fittings. Specific hose information is displayed throughout Catalog 4400, Section A. Hose page content is defined by the information shown below. Please take a moment and review.
Hose Outer Diameter A critical measurement when considering hose clamps and applications where envelope size is limited. Hose Inner Diameter Measured in 1/16 inch increments identified by use of a dash(-) numbering system. i.e., 4/16 = 1/4 = -4.
Hose Working Pressure Should have a working pressure rating meeting or exceeding the maximum operating pressure of the system. Maximum rating listed below in which the hose is to be used.
Minimum Bend Radius Is the smallest arc that the hose can be bent before its life is greatly reduced. Exceeding the bend radius can cause kinking, inner tube washout, and excessive stress on reinforcement. Weight Provided by the foot for instances where it is a critical parameter in the design of the system. Approved Fitting To be used with the hose. Could be crimped or field attachable.
