Collaborated with 9th teaching team to plan Design Thinking Challenges and cross-curricular projects. Helped students increase their achievement and improve grades in an after school tutoring program and through academic coaching groups to help students improve on specific math and reading skills. Third 90 Network School Coordinator (August 2012 - Present) Coordinated a new program with the Third 90 Network and the Michigan Colleges Foundation to increase student involvement and interest in conservation and environmental science, while preparing them for college level scientific concepts, research methods, and analysis. Organized events and field trips during school and on Saturdays including; o Took 15 students to Belle Isle to work with MCF college professors and students to make detailed observations through taking water samples and tree coring. o Planned college visits for students to visit MCF campuses around the state. o Prepared students to present their scientific findings and conclusions to Third 90 Network Schools and MCF facility and guests at a final research symposium. High School Improvement Team (June 2013- Present) Put together a proposal to improve several aspects of the high school including, updating the schedule, curriculum, mentorship program, RTI process, positive behavior intervention and support process, and the professional development schedule. Mustang Green Team Leader (Jan 2012- Present) Lead an award winning after school recycling initiative to increase the recycling at school and raise awareness about the effects we have on the planet.
