Transit Effectiveness Projects (TEP) Draft Environmental Impact Report

Facts About the Transit Effectiveness Projects Draft Environmental Impact Report
The SFTMAs Transit Effectiveness Project (TEP) is releasing its draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) on July 10th The TEP DEIR will be open to public comment from July 11th-August 25th, 2013 The TEP DEIR is an objective analysis (conducted by the SF Planning Department) and is designed to disclose impacts associated with a broad range of project proposals. It is NOT an IMPLEMENTATION PLAN. SFMTA staff will be going to the community in the Fall to discuss implementation options. In their analysis, the SF Planning Department determined that the TEP would only have a potential impact on three features of San Franciscos environment:

NOISE

AIR

TRANSPORTATION

Public comment is an important part of the process and provides decision makers with an opportunity to hear from the general public about TEP impacts. The TEP DEIR can be found online at www.sf-planning.org/index.aspx?page=2970

In order to provide effective feedback on the TEP DEIR, you must first determine whether your feed-back is related to the environmental impact of the project, or other aspects of the project, such as park-ing loss, route changes, or stop consolidation.
