Question Time participation

Question Time is scheduled for Day two of the Youth Parliament programme, on Wednesday 17 July, 10.30am 12.00pm. Youth Parliament 2013 Standing Orders specify that: eighteen primary questions may be accepted for oral answer, these will be selected by ballot by an independent person the Clerk of the House of Representatives will review questions for compliance with the Youth Parliament Standing Orders.

Question Christchurch, and what are its expected benefits? Did she consult with the Aranui community in Christchurch about the school mergers decision; if not, why not? Why is the Government selling state assets instead of borrowing and will those asset sales result in foreign ownership of shares previously owned by the Government? Will he take steps to stop animals being used in testing of synthetic drugs which give users a temporary high, if not, why not? What will the Government do to support the children of beneficiaries who suffer financial penalties for refusing to undertake a drug test as a precondition of employment? Has she had any discussions with her counter-part in Australia about Australian and New Zealand policies on providing social security benefits to each others citizens; if so, what was the result of those discussions? What steps did the Government take to ensure fairness amongst all the participants in the process for awarding a contract for the building of the SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland? What is the Government doing to promote youth involvement in entrepreunueral activity and small busineses? What steps is he taking to reduce youth unemployment?
