TRANSPORTATION Miami International Airport is located just about 10 miles from South Beach. To get around the city or go to school, students usually walk, use public buses (South Beach Local or Miami Metrobus) or rent bikes through the DecoDrive community bike rental service. Your host family or residence staff members will be able to help you with more detailed directions to the school for your first day. Driving a personal car to the school is not recommended as parking is very limited and very expensive. Accommodation Notes Students who do not notify us of their arrival information may not be able to check into their requested housing until after they have checked into the school on their first day. Students who are booked in the student apartment but have not requested transportation must call the emergency phone once they are en route to the apartment. This is in addition to providing us with flight information 7 days prior to arrival.Students who have booked homestay housing but have not requested transportation must provide us with an estimated arrival time 5 days prior to arrival.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS Airport transfers can be arranged by EC upon request. To guarantee airport transfers, arrival information must be sent to EC at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. Students with international flights will meet an EC representative with EC sign in the lobby after baggage claim. Those with domestic flights will meet their driver at the baggage claim area. If you cannot find the EC representative, please proceed to the airport information desk and call the EC emergency number. If the flight is delayed or cancelled, students must call the EC Emergency number to reschedule at least two hours before the originally scheduled pick-up time. In case of delays at Customs and Immigration, students should also call the Emergency number so that the driver will wait for them. Otherwise, you will have to pay for a second transfer or take a taxi. Please also inform your host family if your flight is delayed.

WHEN AIRPORT TRANSFERS HAVE NOT BEEN BOOKED If students book their accommodation through EC and did not book an airport transfer, they must still inform EC of their flight details 1 week prior to arrival.
