ARGENTINA

PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED GOODS Firearms are held until they can be authorised by the National Arms Register (RENAR). Explosives, inflammables, drugs, and pornography are prohibited. Beverages, food and consumables are subject to duties. CUSTOMS REGULATIONS HOUSEHOLD GOODS:

1. Argentine citizens and foreign citizens with permanent residence visa require the following documents:
Valid passport showing clearly that shipper has been a resident in another country for a period not less than 12 months, and that such residence has not been interrupted with entries into Argentina for more than 60 days in the last 12 months prior to re-entry. AWB or two Original B/L. Consular Certificate (only needed when coming from border countries). Only one shipment every three years can be imported without payment of duties.

2. Foreign Citizens require the following documents: Valid passport with any type of visa. Two original B/Ls or AWBs. Temporary Admission Forms (Guarantee Forms).

3. Diplomats / Military Personnel require the following: Diplomatic Franchise must be obtained from the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Diplomatic Mission or the Foreign Official Organization where the shipper is officially employed. AWB or two Original B/L.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Shipment must arrive in Argentina within six months of shipper's entry into the country or three months before (to enter before, contact us in advance to coordinate with customs). Although it is not necessary for the shipper to be physically present at customs for clearance formalities, the client must be in the country to sign certain papers and present their original passport. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Foreigners with Temporary Resident Visa may pay import duties (normally about 50% of value) or may bring personal effects and household goods into the country under temporary admission in accordance with the present guarantee system. The belongings must be guaranteed (bonded) for the duration of the visa and must be renewed prior to expiration (normally every year). Goods can be guaranteed by:

A local insurance company The authorized Corporate Attorney of a company that is registered as an import/export agent and has their signature

registered with Customs Authorities or

The authorized Corporate Attorney of a company in conjunction with the presentation of Corporate by-laws.

If at the expiration date of the guarantee the visa has not been renewed, the goods must be re-exported or guarantee will become due and payable, and fines may be assessed. If a permanent residence Visa has not been obtained, the goods must be nationalized. USED CARS AND MOTORCYCLES Importation of new cars is subject to Ministry of Commerce regulations and is limited to certain types of vehicles. Foreign Diplomats are able to import used cars. Returning Argentine Citizens may import used cars only (once for each members of the couple). Persons with permanent resident status may import used cars. Persons with temporary visa may import used cars under temporary admission. The car is only allowed temporary admission for a period of 8 months renewable for an additional 8 months. Thereafter, each renewal requires exiting the country and returning. Without continuous renewal of permit, the car must be exported from Argentina.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:

Owners original passport. AWB or two Original B/L. Complete car documentation. Original purchase invoice with visa stamped by Argentine Consulate. CONSULAR CERTIFICATE (for returning Argentine citizens only)

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: For returning Argentine only, car must enter Argentina within (6) six months after shipper/owner arrival. Car must be under shipper's name. Allowance is made for (2) two cars per family (under different names).

DUTIES / TAXES: (FOR ARGENTINES OR PERMANENT RESIDENTS ONLY)

Approximately 79% of car CIF value,. If the car is diesel the taxes are 100 % of CIF value. PETS An up-to-date health and vaccination certificate is required for dogs and cats (no more than ten days from issue). This should be stamped by the nearest Argentine Consulate. This document should accompany the animal when it arrives in Argentina. For any other types of live animals, please consult GOELDLIN TRANSPORT.

ITALY
PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED GOODS Spirits, wine, tobacco, drugs. Firearms, ammunition and naked steels (combat knives, etc.) are subject to a special license to be obtained before shipping. CUSTOMS REGULATIONS

PERSONAL EFFECTS
Clothing, shoes, cosmetics and other goods necessary for a temporary stay will be admitted free of duty. The passport and photocopy of airline ticket of the owner is generally enough to clear air shipment below 220 kgs. USED HOUSEHOLD GOODS Are admitted free of duty and taxes only in the following cases: Foreign Citizens Taking Residence in Italy must provide:

1. Visa on passport. 2. "Permit to stay" (permesso a soggiorno) issued by police (foreign dept). 3. Certificate of Taken Residence released by the municipality which must specify the number of
members of the family, the nationality, the city and Country from which he is transferring his residence, date of residence in Italy. The member has one year from the day of taken residence to import the household goods duty free. Copy of passport. Italian fiscal registration number called "Codice Fiscale". Customs form to be completed and signed by the shipper (dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione)

Italian returning from abroad and Italian Diplomats can obtain free importation providing:

1. Consular declaration released by the nearest Italian Consulate from where the Italian Citizen was
living called "Dichiarazione consolare di residenza e di rimpatrio definitivo". This certificate must specify the period of time resided abroad (minimum 12 months), names of the members of the family and that it is a definitive return to Italy. The member has one year from the date he leaves the Foreign Country to import the household goods duty free. Inventory of the goods in Italian language signed by the customer and visaed by Consulate. Italian fiscal registration number called "Codice Fiscale". Copy of passport . Customs form to be completed and signed by the shipper (dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione)

Foreign Diplomats can obtain duty free importation providing:

1. Application to their Embassy in Italy addressed to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (application to

be requested 30/45 days before the arrival of the goods).

2. Inventory in Italian language signed by the customer. 3. Copy of passport. 4. Customs form to be completed and signed by the shipper (dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione)
MOTOR CARS AND MOTORCYCLES Are admitted free of duty in the following cases: Foreigner taking residence in Italy have to supply us with the same Certificate needed for the household goods plus the original title, registration and manufacturer's data and copy of insurance valid onto National Territory. He must prove that the car was used abroad for at least one year before the date of taken residence in Italy. Italian returning from abroad and Italian Diplomats have to prove that the car was continuously used and owned abroad for more than one year and that the member had a permanence abroad longer than twelve months. The car has to be mentioned with all its specifications on the Italian inventory with all details, visaed and attached to the Consular Declaration. TELEVISION SET, RADIO, Hl-FI EQUIPMENT, VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDER AND PERSONAL COMPUTERS TV require payment of government tax (abbonamento canone TV). All the above items require a special license released by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications called "Nulla-osta". PAINTINGS, SCULPTURES AND ANTIQUE ITEMS Items of artistic and antiquarian interest must be cleared and inspected by "Italian Arts Commission". PETS Pets can be brought into Italy although dogs, cats and birds require a certificate of origin and a health certificate issued by a veterinary surgeon. The certificate must be in Italian as well as in the official language of the country of origin. It must state that your pet has been examined the day the certificate was issued and that it is in good health. It must also state that your pet has been vaccinated against rabies at least 20 days before the certificate was issued. The certificate is valid for 30 days.
