WORK EXPERIENCE Layout Artist DHX Media o Break down 2D storyboards into 3D shots. Take production designs, models, assets and reference
into scenes to build locations; including major props, blocking in the position of characters, select camera angles and plot camera moves.

o o Work from storyboard/animatic to create high-quality, key-framed animation while demonstrating a strong sense of performance, posing, timing, and weight. Working collaboratively; meeting with Directors to ensure animation adheres to the style and vision set out by the Series Director.

Maritime Museum of the Atlantic Exhibit Cable Ships: Connecting Halifax to Titanic and the World
o Created a 2 minute animation to be played at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic for the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Storyboarded, modeled, textured, lit, rendered and composited a demonstration of how a Cable Ship worked in laying and fixing communication cables in the Atlantic Ocean. The ship that a group of 3 other artists and I worked on, the MacKay-Bennett, was the first ship to be requisitioned to respond to the Titanic disaster. The exhibit premieres April 12 2012 and will run until October of 2012. Assisted an instructor for the 3D Animation course section of Bootcamp, a three day introduction to the courses held at the Centre for Arts and Technology. Created for high school students and individuals interested in the school. The tour and course walkthroughs were held Tuesday through Thursday at the end of March 2012 during the break period between semesters.

Within the two year course we are taught as much as possible to be generalists in the entertainment industry further into the course we focus on one or two aspects which we specialize in (Like modeling, animation, rigging etc.). I currently focus on modeling and animation. Classes range from: Modeling, Texturing , 3D/2D Animation, Rigging, Lighting, Previs, Compositing, Life Drawing, Character Design, Layout Design, Editing, and Storyboarding.
