WorkSkills helps equip you with essential skills to function effectively in employment, and employers such as Coca Cola, Deloitte and McDonalds wholeheartedly support such learning programmes, and feel that having a workforce who are prepared for work and engaged in learning is a huge advantage. 1 The Twin Career Development Programme provides students with the opportunity to study for an internationally recognised, accredited UK qualification [EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 Workskills Certificate], attained through guided classroom study and practical work experience in the UK. Students will gain valuable transferrable skills and business experience in unique international environments. Career Development Programme

The Study Programme: Candidates study 15 hours per week and will work towards their EDEXCEL qualification by studying a combination of modules, a number of which comprise of both theoretical and practical components. For such modules an internship is an essential component of their programme. Sample Modules: Strategies to Improve Job Interview Skills Planning for Professional Development Learning from Work Placement Negotiation Skills and Persuasion in the Workplace Communicating Solutions to others Solving Work-related Problems Mentoring Skills for the Workplace Critical Thinking Developing Personal Skills for Leadership Vocational Placement Options: The course comprises two thirds classroom study at Twin and one third work placement. Twins professional advisors work closely with the students to source an internship placement that matches the students career objectives, or a vocational placement in hospitality. Twin continue to monitor attendance and students will be required to complete course work whilst on placement. The placement component concludes with an assessment of the internship focused tasks and is completed in order for the EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 Work Skills Certificate to be awarded. Example Jobs
