Ensure that you have read everything and filled in all the required information, including your acknowledgment of the Terms and Conditions. We cannot accept incomplete applications.

Twin Group Career Development Programme Terms and Conditions


These Terms and Conditions relate specifically to the Twin Career Development Programme and are in addition to the Twin standard terms and conditions as outlined in the company brochure and on the websites www.englishcentres.co.uk / www.workuk.co.uk. Where any discrepancy shall arise it is the judgement of the company as to which condition or term shall take prevalence. Programme requirements and qualifications: In order to be eligible for the Twin Career Development Programme, you must: Be at least 18 years of age at the start programme A General Student Visa is required Maintain an attendance average of over 80% of the programme to remain in the programme For vocational placement in hospitality, have work experience in relevant sectors Be prepared to undertake the normal responsibilities of the working environment Agree to the full length of our placement as organised by Twin Have the appropriate level of English Display a high level of maturity and independence Documents and proof: A language level test and interview will be conducted prior to your acceptance onto the programme. Twin reserves the right to refuse any applicant who does not meet the programme eligibility requirements. You must submit to your agent before the start of your programme the following documents: The signed Twin application form, the terms and conditions of the Twin Career Development Programme and the Twin Groups General Terms and Conditions Two certified references written in English, one professional (host company/tutor/teacher) and one character Curriculum Vitae and cover letter by mail. Twin and your agent cannot be held responsible for any delay, loss of earnings or additional costs you may incur if you do not submit the required documents on time. Invoice and payment deadline: Once you have submitted your documents and been accepted onto the Twin programme, you will receive an invoice for the full amount of the programme from your agent. All programme costs must be paid in full no later than 30 days before the programme starts. If your booking is made less than 30 days before the course starts, the fees are immediately payable. If payment in full has not been received, you will not be allowed to start your programme. Confirmation and acceptance: On receipt of full payment and documentation, your agent will send you full joining instructions and accommodation details if required.

Programme termination and dismissal: If you must leave the programme for any reason, you must inform the Twin Group immediately. If you fail to follow the rules and requirements set down by your Host Company or Twin, or if your conduct is deemed by Twin to be detrimental to the programme, you will be dismissed from the programme. In the event of a dismissal, Twin shall not be held responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you, nor for any loss of earnings and shall not be required to return any fees paid by you to Twin. If for any reason you are dismissed from the Twin Career Development Programme, no refund will be given. Reasons for dismissal from the programme include, but are not limited to, the following: Manipulating any official documentation related to your course or company placement Organising your own placement Forging any official transcripts or documentation related to admission into the Twin Career Development Programme Falsifying test, interview results, or university documents in order to qualify for the Twin Career Development Programme Behaviour or conduct deemed by Twin to be dangerous to yourself or others, including violent behaviour or acts of emotional distress or mental illness Failing to adhere to advice from staff about local business customs, e.g. the wearing of facial piercings For students who miss an interview and do not inform the host company beforehand, no further interviews will be arranged For students who deliberately perform poorly at an interview as the host company does not match their exact preference, no further interviews will be arranged Students who reject placement offers for no valid reason will not be offered further interviews For students who reject placement offers, as they do not match a specific preference, no further interviews will be arranged Violating the local laws and legal requirements of the host country Students who leave a placement secured by the Twin Group without giving the college two weeks notice Students who leave a placement without giving my host company two weeks notice Students who secure a placement for themselves without advising the Twin Group that I no longer require their service Student who conduct themselves in an unprofessional manner with their host company or any prospective company is and likely to jeopardise the Colleges relationship with this company Students who plan a holiday within the first 6 weeks of their programme without informing the Twin Group Employment and placement: When you have been placed in a host company, you must meet all the terms and conditions as stated by them in their placement agreement, including the dates and role you have agreed to accept. The Twin Group will guarantee: One (1) offer of placement for you on the Twin Career Development Programme. We will cease seeking interviews for any student who has poor attendance.

Twin Group will not guarantee: FOR THE CDP 5 Vocational Placement in Hospitality The type of work that will be offered. The type of work offered will be dependent on your work experience and availability. Typical roles that will be offered include, but are not limited to, placements within the following roles: general assistant, kitchen porter, housekeeper, waiter, host, and receptionist. Please note that placements may be restricted in some cases to the areas of hospitality and tourism, depending on the employment opportunities at the time. The number of hours per week: Hours of placement will be determined by the availability from your host company. The days or time of work: Your shifts will depend on which days and hours the company needs you to be present. To fulfil special requests e.g. specific location, to be placed with a friend The placement location: We are unable to fulfil special requests e.g. specific location, to be placed with a friend More than one placement: If the Twin Group secures your first vocational placement and you leave this secured position without a valid reason, or are asked to leave by the host company for misconduct or inability to perform tasks required, your agent and the Twin Group will not be responsible for securing an alternative placement. FOR THE CDP 1 to 4 Internship The type of placement that will be offered. The type of placement offered will be dependent on your work experience and availability. Typical placements that will be offered include, but are not limited to, roles within the following sectors: marketing and sales, travel and tourism, hotel and catering, finance and accounting, PR, advertising, law, HS, office administration, IT, design, education. To fulfil special requests e.g. specific location, to be placed with a friend The placement location: We are unable to fulfil special requests e.g. a specific location, to be placed with a friend More than one placement: If the Twin Group secures your first placement and you leave this secured position without a valid reason, or are asked to leave by the host company for misconduct or inability to perform tasks required, your agent and the Twin Group will not be responsible for securing an alternative placement. Payment: Internships placements are on a voluntary basis and therefore unpaid. Most companies cover travel and or lunch expenses, but we cannot guarantee that this will be paid in all cases. You are attached to the company but not a member of staff, so you cannot a salary. Placement termination and dismissal If you fail to meet your obligations and requirements set down by your host company and placement agreement, you may be subject to dismissal from your role. You will be subject to the same company standards and regulations as related workers within the host organization/host company. If you are dismissed for any of these reasons from your placement, the Twin Group cannot be held responsible for this and is not responsible for finding another placement for you. Reasons for dismissal include, but are not limited to, the following: Inability to speak and understand the English language to safely and properly function in the work place Frequent lateness or absenteeism from scheduled shifts by the company Arriving after the start date of the placement agreement and / or leaving before the end date of the agreement Displaying an unprofessional attitude on placement towards colleagues, supervisors, and customers 9

Failure to meet proper grooming standards and / or wearing the incorrect, required uniform on site Failure to abide by the company policies and regulations set forth by the host company National Insurance Number These are requirements and neither the Twin Group, your agent, nor your host company is responsible for any problems resulting from delays or complications in the application process. Additional services Airport transfers, local bus or train travel, laundry service, room retainers, telephone costs, excursions, meals, change in accommodation, and medical costs, are not included in your Twin Career Development Programme unless specifically stated on a valid invoice. You are responsible for assessing the suitability of any employment you are offered through the Twin Career Development Programme. By participating in the Twin Career Development Programme, you acknowledge that Twin Group and your agent cannot be held responsible or liable for site conditions, work ethics or work facilities in third party companies and in no way does an offer of placement to you through a third party host company constitute an endorsement by the Twin group of that company. Twin Group and your agent are not responsible for any complications or disputes between yourself and your host company.
