ILSC students can talk about difficulties with their teachers, Counsellors/Liaisons and/or Administration. If no satisfactory solution is found, students need to follow formal procedures including presenting the problem in writing to the School Director, who will, in writing, address and resolve the dispute. In case such disputes are not resolved to the students satisfaction, students have the right to appeal the decision in writing to the Overseas Student Ombudsman. The Overseas Student Ombudsman offers a free and independent service for overseas students who have a complaint or want to lodge an external appeal about a decision made by their private education or training provider. See the Overseas Student Ombudsman website www.oso.gov.au or phone 1 300 362 072 within Australia for more information. The ILSC Dismissal Policy can be found in the Orientation Package you are given on the first day of studies, and on our website.
