This project is a marketing plan for the launch of a Indomie instant noodle into the highly competitive Indian.

Market Indomie Mi goreng is an instant noodles product line made under the Indomie brand by the Indofood company, the world's largest instant noodle manufacturer, based in IndonesiaThis product has entered the market since 1983 and currently available in many parts of the world includes America and Europe,African and Middle East Region. The instant noodles more popularily known as Mi Goreng is a type of instant noodle served without soup and a variant of fried noodle. Research The survey of this project was carried out in the area of South Delhi and data of the other parts which is not presented since India is a very large country ,the food taste and living habit is different looking at the diversity of the country and this may influence the instant noodles market. Current Scenario The instant noodles market in India is valued at around 1,000 Crore and the same is growing at 20 % annually with Maggi being the market leader. The existing instant noodles in India are packaged in Pillow Packs and Cup Noodles,however here we are only focusing on the Pillow Packs and how Indomie which is a market leader in Middle East and parts of Asia penetrate into this market.Indians generally choose Maggi because of its different taste which they find delicious in many ways. Marketing & Pricing Stratergy:The Indian noodles market is growing at a rate of 20 % annually and market can be penetrated by adopting the advertising /promotion strategy and also by setting up a strong distribution network. Price is the amount of money which is paid by the customer to the seller which varies on different distribution channels.When we detemine the price of Indomie in India,some factors will impact the pricing such as the market share,number of competitors in the market,the cost of raw material and then the product value for the customer. In the case of Indomie,I would advise them to use a distribution channel comprising of exclusive distributors and retail chains to showcase their products,this will enable them to garner a quick response to the market and with the growth in retail sector will help the company to market its products widely in the Urban Cities Without setting up a manufacturing unit in India,Indomie can directly import its instant noodles to the Indian Market and then distribute it through a proper channel .However in the beginning it would not be advised that Indomie uses a one level Marketing channel comprising of the the distributors who can help Indomie to get its product into the market.With this initially IndoFoodcan control the business process and focus more on Promotion and Advertising the product which is

different and new to the country.This would include TV,Radio,Magazines and advertising over the internet.This would help in attracting the customer attention and interests as Indomie offers a different range of product when it comes to Maggi Pricing of Indomie in India:Currently,Indofood is the largets producer of Instant Noodle with an annual capacity of over 13 billion processed packs in its 23 manufacturing facilites throughout Indonesia Through this figure we can note that IndoFoods has the capability to export its product to international countries. Indomie is different because it markets it product as a substitute to staple foods which has demographically targetterd itself to individuals of all ages and lifestyles through which it has been successful In other parts of the world. We are going to introduce the following in India Brand:-Indomie Mi Goreng Instant Fried Noodle Gr:-84 gr Price:-Rs 12 With this price ,we can offer a greater benefit by delivering a superior value to the customer and can be affordable to even low cost shoppers. Considering the price of one complete pillow pack is USD 20 cents amounting to Rs 10/Pack. The import duty for Instant Noodles in India is valued at 5 % which makes the price 21 cents amounting to Rs 10.50/Pack CALCULATION OF TOTAL COSTS:BASED ON 1 X 20 FT CONTAINER WHICH CAN EASILY CARRY 60,000 PACKS OF INDOMIE NOODLES WEIGHING AROUND 5.6 MT. COST OF TRANSPORTATION FROM EX WORKS TO INDONESIAN SEA PORT:-USD 150 OCEAN FREIGHT FROM INDONESIA TO NHAVA SHEVA,INDIA:-USD 400/20 FT INLAND HAULAGE CHARGES:-RS 35,000 THEREFORE THE COST OF TRANSPORTATION FROM THE MANUFACTURING FACILITY TO INDOFOODS WAREHOUSE WHICH WE DECIDE TO LOCATE CENTRALLY IN THE STATE OF GUJARAT,WHICH CAN BE EQUIDISTANCE TO MAJOR CITIES IN INDIA
