Benjamin E. Mays, Class of 1920, Award, Bates College Awarded by the faculty and administration to the senior who most exemplifies the values of Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, in academic excellence, service to others, and moral leadership. The awards namesake served as mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and as president of Morehouse College. College Key Alumni Honors Society, Bates College Elected as one of 22 members of the graduating class into the College Key, the alumni honors society of Bates College. Mayoral Commendation, City of Lewiston, Maine Recognized at City Council for founding College Night in Town, a collaborative that brought over 400 students into the Lewiston/Auburn community to celebrate the relationship between the towns and the college, featuring over 30 performances at 20 local venues. Poster accepted for presentation at the annual convention of the Society for Social and Personality Psychology, Austin, TX. RELATED EXPERIENCE Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, Washington, District of Columbia Eisendrath Legislative Assistant One of five recent graduates selected for a prestigious social justice fellowship on Capitol Hill. Core issue portfolio included civil rights, gun violence prevention, and Middle East peace. Created original programming and taught more than 2,000 high school youth over eight weekends. Organized an interfaith call-in day to prevent gun violence with over 10,000 participants.
