P/N 3503* - ATR Probe

The ATR probe is used when the absorbance of the sample is in the 4000 - 5000 AU/cm range. The ATR probe can be inserted directly into the sample and spectra taken without dilution. Typically the ATR probe is used on pure inks, dyes, and crude oil samples. Additionally the probe can be used as a general deposition probe if the RI of the material depositing on the probe tip is greater than the sapphire crystal. (Consult factory for application engineering assistance). The ATR probe is designed for process applications and has been tested up to 10,000 psig. The ATR probe can withstand temperatures up to 315 C. The ATR probe is a three bounce probe and the penetration of the evanescent wave is a function of the wavelength at which the measurements are made. Evanescent wave absorption permits the user to measure very high 3000 - 5000 AU/CM) absorbance samples.

P/N 3502* - Front Surface Probe (Fluorescence or Reflectance)

The fluorescence / reflectance probe is used to determine the fluorescence or spectral reflectance (diffuse and specular) from the surface of a liquid, solid, past, or slurry. The probe is a special optical configuration designed to have a very sharp focus at the window and does not need to penetrate into the sample for a reading. The reflectance probe is 12 mm in diameter and can be inserted into a standard bench top fermenter via a PG-13.5 fitting. Front surface design focuses the energy at the distal tip of the probe.

P/N 3501* - Transmission Probe

The transmission probe is a double pass probe that sends light energy from a source through the sample by folding the beam 180 back via a protected reflector. The amount of transmitted/ absorbed light is measured by the detectors, read out locally and a retransmitted 4-20mA output proportional to concentration is supplied. Transmission probes have traditionally been favored over transflection probes because of their increased linearity. Materials of construction are 316SS, viton or Kalrez, sapphire or quartz. Probe length can be increased if automatic retractable devices are required. Please inquire at factory.

P/N 3800 - Automatic Probe Retraction Device, (APRD)

Designed for automatic insertion and removal of any of the Teledyne family of insitu probes. The APRD (designed by Welker Engineering) can be retracted hydraulically, via process fluids, or by an external air supply to insert and/or retract the probe from the process without shutting down the process. In addition, the APRD is supplied with a means of cleaning the probe with either steam or solvent. Cleaning can be done automatically based on spectral baseline shifting or on a fixed time basis ensuring continuous monitoring inside of a process line. Designed for ANSI 600 or 1200 lb flanges.

P/N 9002 - Fiber Optic Cuvette Holder

The fiber optic cuvette holder is used when running sample measurements in a traditional cuvette (up to 1, 2, 5 10 mm pathlength) remotely due to potentially hazardous consequences of sample exposure. The cuvette holder has a locking mechanism to hold the cuvette securely in place. Fiber connections are standard SMA-905 fittings.

P/N 9001 - Fiber Optic Coupler

Teledyne offers a simple transfer optic for the Agilent spectrometer. The fiber optic coupler easily fits into the same foot print as the existing sample cuvette holder supplied with the existing spectrophotometer. The fiber optic coupler is used to couple all of the energy from the spectrometer source into and out of fibers. Proper adjustment of this is via two XYZ axis adjustments. Attachment of any of the above fiber optic accessories now permits measurements to be made under remote (sample) conditions.

P/N 9003-XX - Laboratory Fiber Optic Dip Probe

Teledyne offers a laboratory fiber optic dip probe with replaceable tips. The dip probe is 1/4 in diameter and approximately 7 in length. The probe is supplied with two one meter fibers that connect to either spectrophotometers or other photometric devices. Replaceable tips are available in 2, 5, and 10 mm pathlengths. Materials of construction are 316SS and the optics are sealed with epoxy.
