Practical training forms an integral part of our students' overall development as an engineer. In the course of four years at NSIT, students belonging to various departments i.e. Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Information Technology, Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering and Bio Technology undergo four rounds of training, both within and outside (in-plant training) the institute. As part of the curriculum, arrangements are made for the students to undergo practical training during summer and winter breaks in Multinational/Private/Public Sector Undertakings/Government Department as well as Laboratories of the Institute. Many prominent organizations and multi-national companies such as Microsoft, Google, Intel, Maruti etc visit our campus on a regular basis to take interns in their ongoing projects. This facilitates a healthy student-industry interaction which benefits both parties in the long run. Parents/guardians of students should note that for the supervised in-plant practical training students will be sent to industrial organizations, both in and outside Delhi, depending upon the availability of training places. Parents of the students will be responsible for any damage caused by their wards to the Factory/installation during the practical training SUMMER TRAINING AT VARIOUS UNIVERSITIES/INSTITUTIONS ABROAD In view of the globalization, acceptance and marketability of the NSITians has also increased multifold. A large number of Universities/Institutions have visited NSIT in the past one year and have shown their willingness to have tie-ups including the students training and faculty exchange programmes. Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) between NSIT and some of the world's leading universities such as the University of Western Australia, n plus I, France, Group Des Ecoles Des Mines(Gem), University of Wolverhampton, EPFL, Lussan etc. have also been signed and student exchange programs are regularly held in which many students from NSIT go to these universities as interns. Approx. 52 students have been offered Masters Programmes in Prestigious Universities abroad in 2009-10 and nearly same number of students have been offered summer Internships in various Universities of global repute from June-July 2010.
