I.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Mindanao Leg (Region 9-12,CARAGA,ARMM) Host: Tagum City, Davao del Norte Date: August 27-31 August 28 (Wed) August 29-30 (Thur-Fri) 8:00 am -12:00 pm 8:00 am onwards Weigh-in Competition proper until awarding

NOTE: Above schedules may change as the need arises. You will be properly informed of such changes.

II.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

1. AFFILIATION: Only players of affiliated clubs, gyms and schools in the advanced division that are in good standing with the Philippine Taekwondo Association may join the competition. Participants must be properly accredited or endorsed by their respective LGUs. FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT ENTRIES (province or chartered city): Applications shall be coursed through the Sports Office of the LGU. Each LGU may field in a maximum of four (4) players per category. 2. QUALIFICATION FOR NATIONAL LEG: Only the gold and silver medalists of the Mindanao Leg, Visayas Leg, and Luzon Leg will be allowed to participate in the Batang Pinoy National Taekwondo Championships.

3. WEIGH-IN: All entries shall undergo weigh-in and verification on the dates specified. 4. AGE REQUIREMENT: Players who are 13-15 years old on the year the competition is held. a. Year of birth must be within 1998 to 2000. b. Maximum age: 15 years old (born 1998) c. Minimum age: 13 years old (born 2000)

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
All participants are required to fill out the official entry forms to be downloaded from the official Batang Pinoy website bp2012.psc.gov.ph: 1. Batang Pinoy Athlete Entry Form and Waiver 2. Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate (NSO or Local Civil Registrar) 3. LGU endorsement from any of the following: Governor, Mayor, Municipal Sports Official, or Barangay Chairman. 4. LGU ENTRY FORM (to be downloaded from the Batang Pinoy website) 5. Batang Pinoy Taekwondo Contestants Application Form and Waiver

C. COMPETITION GUIDELINES: 1. Method of Competition: The competition shall be individual, single elimination. 2. No of Competitors: Each LGU may field in a maximum of four (4) players per category.

3. Length of Matches: Matches shall be 2 rounds of 1.5 minutes per round with 1-minute rest between rounds. 4. Weigh-In: Weigh-in shall be conducted one day prior to the competition. A preliminary weigh-in shall be allowed before the official and final weigh-in. 5. Coaches: Only one coach per player shall be allowed in the coachs chair during the matches. 6. Competition Codes of Conduct: The Taekwondo Competition Codes of Conduct shall be strictly enforced. 7. Competition Rules: For all other matters not provided for in these ground rules, the current WTF Kyorugi Competition Rules and Interpretation and the Batang Pinoy guidelines shall apply. 8. Competition Uniform: Competitors shall wear the prescribed Taekwondo V-neck uniform (dobok) during the competition. NOTE: Use of the PHILIPPINES print on the uniform is reserved for members of the National Taekwondo Team and for those who have represented the country in international competitions. Otherwise, such usage is strictly prohibited. 9. Competition Equipment: Only brands approved by the PTA and/or WTF shall be approved for use. The contestants shall wear complete protectors during the match (head protector, body protector, arm & shin guards, groin guard, hand gloves, and mouth guard). 10. Coaches Attire: Coaches shall wear the proper attire during the competition. Shorts and slippers are not allowed. D. AWARDS: Winning contestants shall be awarded the following medals: First Place Second Place 2 Third Places Gold Medal Silver Medal Bronze Medal
