We are also going to make our own Sally Snakes this week and see how she swirls and twirls when she is happy. 2. Songs We are going to keep learning our song "The ants go marching". The ants go marching" as this is a bit difficult to learn. If you want you can see it on You Tube at: http://youtu.be/xozQnsGkHJ4 3. Games We are going to use our fingerpuppets to tell a story about all the animals in the rainforest.
Grammar: This week we are going to use full sentences to describe what we can find in the rainforest: "In the rainforest I can see a/an..."
Phonics Our phonics is doing really good and we are going to finish our first phonics book late this week or early next week. We are doing our last sounds -up (pup, cup), -ub (rub, tub, cub) and -ug (jug, mug, hug, bug, rug).
Review As this is a very short week, I will review all our phonics and sightwords we have done so far, using them in sentences and to explain their meanings.
Notes / parent follow up: For the caterpillar, we are going to need some glue. If you have a gluestick at home, please mark it clearly with your child's name and send it to school on Thursday. Also if you want, you can always practise the phonic and sightwords with your child. And the rainforest is such a nice and long theme, I am going to extend it 2 days into week 11.
