Bible Study
Matthew 10:24-25a - Portrait of Ministry - The disciple is not above his master nor the servant above his Lord. It is enough for the disciple to become as his teacher and the slave as his lord. The word translated disciple in English in the original Greek has two ideas. 1. believer (faith) and 2. Learner/seeker Faith = invoking the activity of the second party

Sermon Notes
AM - Manley - Acts 2:1-4
The word filled in verses 1 and 2 is pleroo in the Greek. The idea of a container and the content that fills it. This happens once at Pentecost. The word for filled in verse 4 is plethro which has the idea of a sponge being saturated for a distinct purpose. This happens over and over all throughout the new testament. PM - Deihl - 1 Peter 1:15-2:1 First Prayer ~ Lord, forgive me. ~ Redemption Second Prayer ~ Lord, Take me. Response to God saying You have given me your sins, now give me yourself. Third Prayer ~ Lord, make me into the Christlike Christian you want me to be. ~ Then get growing!!!! (A lady from our church prayed to be sanctified! Praise God!)
