Every property has unique characteristics and needs. Which is why, Ceasefire conducts a detailed inspection & Fire Audit Survey of your property to get a thorough understanding of the areas of vulnerability. This enables us to recommend the safety solution that best suits your needs.

While providing you with an airtight safety solution, Ceasefire trained experts will follow these steps: Step 1: We survey your premises and share a list of potential threats with you. Step 2: Based on the findings our experts will recommend a solution that meets your requirements. Step 3: To assist you in understanding how the recommended systems work, we take you through its workings on a floor plan of your premises. Step 4: On your approval we will furnish you with a Bill of Quantity (BOQ), giving you the details you require to select the product thats ideal for you. Step 5: Once you have chosen your preferred product, you will be taken through Ceasefires Terms & Conditions. If you are in agreement with the same you will be requested to sign off on an acknowledgement letter.

FAS norms for portable fire extinguishers
.

The key questions to be answered by a FAS are

.

for special hazard locations like stores, gensets, electric panels, machinery, servers, etc. Each enclosed area, compartment and cabin should also be provided with an extinguisher.

What type of fire extinguisher is required ? How many are required ? Where does it have to be installed ? What capacity is required?
.

Our FAS norms provide answers to all these questions by referring and adhering to national and international standards.
.

What type of fire extinguisher is required? The type of fire extinguisher or extinguishing agent required depends on the class of fire risk present at a location. For instance, Ceasefire recommends the use of MAP Powder Extinguishers in areas with multiple fire type risks. A Clean Agent Extinguisher for areas with servers or sensitive electronic equipment. We recommend special powder extinguishers for areas with risks of Metal fires. Where electrical appliances can cause a fire, Ceasefire recommends Watermist Extinguisher / CO2

What capacity is required ? Each type of fire extinguisher is available in various capacities. However, installing the right capacity fire extinguisher is the key to having adequate fire fighting power at every location, without compromising the maneuverability of the user. For instance, we suggest a 2kg fire extinguisher for workstations, receptions and machines. In these areas, a smaller and easy to handle fire extinguisher will provide better results than heavier extinguishers.

At various high risk areas where fire can grow and enter the Critical Stage faster owing to either quantity or nature of the fuel (solvents, diesel, paints, etc.,) we recommend higher capacity fire extinguishers like 4 kg, 6 kg, 9kg, 25 kg, 50 kg and 75 kg etc.

How many are required ? Several factors like layout, area covered and amount of combustibles present decide the quantity of extinguishing agent required. Ceasefires unique Fire Rating and Risk Multiplier method rates each extinguisher based on its fire fighting power. There is also the classification of premises into Ordinary Hazard, High Hazard or Special Hazard, based on IS:2190 standards. Depending on the fire rating of the premises and extinguishers, the required number of extinguishers is recommended. This utterly scientific system ensures that the premises has adequate fire fighting ammunition, 24X7.

Where does it have to be installed ? The norms for installation take into consideration various factors like entry and exit points, their locations and numbers, layout of the premises and visibility and accessibility of extinguishers. That said, there should be dedicated extinguishers
