The

most powerful portion of the team experience was the ease at which technology made it possible to collaborate even with the vast distance between our group.

Using

Google Docs we were able to contribute to the project entirely online. Google Docs also made it possible to chat live to discuss different aspects of the project.

The

toughest part of the experience was finding common available time among group members. With our busy teaching schedules and regional time differences it was nearly impossible to find times where everyone could be online.

The

biggest challenge for me was understanding what was expected during Phase 2 of the assignment. was a bit unclear about what exactly to do and how to approach the assignment.

should have asked questions via e-mail or the discussion board to clarify the assignment.

Wipfler, P (2013)

Through

the online interactions I was able to gain a better understanding of the group assignments. group members were able to answer questions I had regarding the assignment. was able to clarify some of the questions they had.

My

Together

we were able to produce a document that I felt proud to turn in.

My

advice to future groups is to.

Choose common subjects that can be easily adapted. Create collaborative documents early so that group members can work at their own pace. Create detailed schedules with deadlines for each step of the assignment. If you can find available time for all members to be online, set up meetings to discuss the project. Have different responsibilities/jobs for each group member. And most importantly, ask questions to group members about anything youre not clear on.
